Hi BodyRockers, Today Freddy and I are starting to pack for our move and we are crazy busy. With everything that we have to do today, I didn’t have time for a full workout, but don’t worry because I put together this savage little 6 minute full body routine that will rock you out. I think that it is always better to do something than to skip your training completely, and this workout may come in a small package, but as you can see in the video, if you are pushing it at your max effort – full throttle – you won’t have anything left after 6 minutes. This is a perfect solution if you find yourself really busy and pressed for time – and you can also extend the torture by doing this 2 times back to back. As I said tho, the real test of your effort is that by the end of the 6 minutes you should be tapped out. Freddy & I will be back this weekend with new BodyRockers, a new diet challenge and possibly a life post if we actually do anything interesting besides packing! Enjoy your training!

Insomnia: The Best Bedtime Snacks for Insomniacs : Kitchen Table Medicine
By Dr. Nicole Sundene Can the kitchen table cure insomnia? It might just be the quick fix for a certain type of insomnia. Everyone knows that eating a big meal before bed is not healthy. Food just “sits there” and doesn’t optimally digest when we are inactive, as the peristaltic contractions of our gut are enhanced by exercise and movement. Once awake, they can’t get back to sleep, and can’t figure out why. I see insomnia as three different tedious breeds. You can also be amongst the “lucky ones” and have a combo pack of the three. The best bedtime snacks are high in protein, fiber, complex carbs, minerals, and the amino acid tryptophan. In the presence of carbohydrates, the amino acid tryptophan is able to pass the blood brain barrier, where it is then made into serotonin (the neurotransmitter that makes us happy) and in a dark atmosphere serotonin then converts to melatonin (the hormone that makes us sleepy).
