The Hutchison Effect, The Mahabharata, and Acoustic Levitation There’s a war going on; a war of which you may not be aware. No, I’m not talking about Iran, or Syria, or North Korea. I’m not even talking about the Illuminati or the New World Order. And I’m not talking about the war on drugs, either. I’m talking about the war between fans of the fathers of electromagnetic theory: Thomas Edison and Nikola Tesla. For the record, I come down squarely in the Tesla camp, though if you’re an Edisonite, I’ll happily forgive that lapse in good judgment on the basis that you may not know just how awesome Tesla was. California Takes A Stand On Antibiotics In Livestock In 2009, a salmonella outbreak in a California beef plant left 63 people ill. Five years later, another salmonella outbreak linked to California poultry plants infected more than 600 people. Both outbreaks were traced back to antibiotic-resistant bacteria, or “superbugs,” often developed in farms that pump their livestock with human antibiotics to spur animal growth and prevent diseases from spreading in overpopulated farms. This means that if a disease hops from the animal to a farm employee — or a dinner plate to a human’s digestive system — regular antibiotics wouldn’t be able to cure the disease. And if it isn’t contained, there’s little stopping a major deadly outbreak. The Food and Drug Administration, while acknowledging the gravity of superbug outbreaks, has yet to create mandatory laws banning antibiotics for this purpose — despite the fact that every year, two million Americans fall sick and about 23,000 die from antibiotic-resistant diseases.

Publicity without spin As UGLE’s Communications Advisor, Susan Henderson’s job is about managing relationships – from dealing with unusual enquires to overseeing information flow How did you come to work for UGLE? I’d just moved back to London and popped into an agency looking for a job. They sent me for an interview around the corner at ‘a charity’. As I walked along the road, I realised it was Freemasons’ Hall, as I had recently been reading about Freemasonry. Corporate Millions, Deceptive Ads Only Narrowly Shut Down Prop 37 November 7th, 2012 Statement from Food & Water Watch Pacific Region Director Kristin Lynch SAN FRANCISCO—“In the face of unrelenting deceptive advertising funded by giant chemical and processed food corporations to the tune of nearly $50 million, California’s Proposition 37 calling for a simple label on genetically engineered food narrowly lost with 47 percent of the vote. While support for GE food labels has never been stronger, the incessant drumbeat of misleading and outright false industry advertising was barely able to defeat this popular measure. While disappointed in the result, we believe that this movement to label GE foods is stronger than ever and we will continue to build a robust national grassroots campaign to push for mandatory labeling across the country.

Let’s Talk for Real — About Humans and Climate Change By Foster Gamble Climate change may be the hottest topic on the table, reaching a level of religious zealotry on both sides of the issue. It’s remarkable that something with such dire implications can be so void of respectful dialogue and intellectual rigor. Foster sorting years of research for this blog The Kemetic Origin of Freemasonry: The Signs and Symbols Do not Lie The Kemetic Origin of Freemasonry: The Signs and Symbols Do not Lie By Fahim A. Knight-El The signs and symbols of ancient and modern Freemasonry are rooted in Kemet (Egypt) and the evidence is overwhelmingly obvious that Freemasonry borrowed its allegorical myths and ideological metaphors from more ancient societies that were well advanced in the philosophical mysteries. Marshall Ganz: Why Stories Matter Marshall Ganz is a lecturer at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. He played an instrumental, and largely anonymous, role in shaping Barack Obama’s recent campaign. Most importantly, Dr. Ganz has served as mentor to my daughter (and Friends of Justice board member) Lydia Bean. This understanding of story has helped Friends of Justice understand the power of our narrative strategy.
