Blue "Lightsaber" Laser Can Blind, Burn Flesh, and Costs Only $200 That little hunk of frost-coated hardware in the photo is the Spyder III Pro Arctic blue handheld laser. It's being marketed as the closest thing to real-life Star Wars lightsaber ever. Because this $200 piece of Chinese gear can fry your retinas. The product's sales spiel is pretty no-nonsense: "For the first time in history, direct blue laser diodes have now become available in the consumer market. The laser powered home theater projector is the first of a large family of audio and video media technology to feature direct blue diodes. In the case of the Spyder III, the blue light is more of a fun sales pitch--emphasizing the cool, blue light instead of garden-variety red or even the increasingly common green lasers on the market. Oh, and if you need some more pointers on what this laser can be used for, check out the promotional video:

BrowserQuest What you’re about to see is a hungry snake having a bit of a snack | Funny and Touching Stories This huge snake is an olive python. It’s native to Australia… and like many other animals on that continent, it’s pretty deadly. For example: it can just eat a crocodile as a snack. What you see here is the python consuming a juvenile saltwater crocodile. After eating a meal this size, this snake probably won’t eat for months. When eating something THIS big, pythons will basically re-arrange their internal organs to make room for the food. Their heart will increase in length to make room. Also, their intestines experience massive hypertrophy in order to pump out enough digestive enzymes to consume this meal. Whatever the snake can’t digest will be passed… eventually. That just can’t be comfortable. This is actually very similar to how I look after Thanksgiving. All done. If crocodiles can eat humans and snakes can eat crocodiles, that means if you see a huge olive python, you should probably head in the other direction. I think I’m just going to stay inside from now on.
