Books Read The Biggest and Brightest Light For Ages: 4-7 Pretty Little Liars- Sara Shepard Pretty Little Liars is a series of young-adult novels by author Sara Shepard, beginning with 2006's initial novel of the same name. The series follows the lives of four girls – Spencer Hastings, Hanna Marin, Aria Montgomery, and Emily Fields – whose clique falls apart after the disappearance of their leader, Alison DiLaurentis, in the summer after 7th grade. Later, when the girls are juniors in high school, they begin receiving various messages from someone using the alias "A" who threatens to expose their secrets. The novels explore several different topics and themes such as bullying, murder, drug addiction, underage drinking, eating disorders, homosexuality, peer-pressure, infidelity, and mental illness. Moral ambiguity and the consequences of lying (suggested by the title) are featured prominently in the series; the girls constantly create their own problems through their unwillingness or inability to tell the truth about certain events and misdeeds they have done.

Fun Science for Kids: Elephant Toothpaste! This has been on our to-do list for quite some time. I am not sure who originally posted about Elephant Toothpaste, but I've seen it around several places and have been wanting to try it for several months now. With a name like Elephant Toothpaste - how could it not be awesome, right? Anyway, I finally got around to shopping for the necessary ingredients a week ago and oh my goodness am I glad I did because this was such a fun demonstration!!! When it comes to science at our house I mainly focus on child-led explorations, challenges, and experiments (you can find over 100 of those in our new science book), but I also like to throw in a few fun demonstrations such as this one here and there.
