Sous des formes très diverses – du carnage au jet de chaussure en passant par le sabotage de voies ferrées et la fusillade ciblée –, l’attentat rythme notre actualité politique.
Souvent englobé dans la catégorie pourtant récente et polémique du « terrorisme », l’attentat politique est en général présenté comme une des réalités qui, dans l’histoire, distinguent plus particulièrement notre époque. Ce numéro propose de s’interroger sur l’histoire et l’historicité de ce phénomène en réalité très ancien, mais qui marque de son empreinte notre modernité politique et médiatique. Sans ignorer la spécificité d’une violence « aveugle » ou « totale » peut-être propre au monde contemporain, mais sans s’enfermer non plus dans la notion trompeuse du « terrorisme », il nous a semblé important d’interroger dans le long terme les pratiques du meurtre politique, des techniques d’intimidation, des politiques de la peur et des tactiques de la terreur.

Die digitalen Geschichtsquellen umfassen alle Themenfelder der Anfänge der Arbeiterbewegung, der Gewerkschaftsbewegung, der Sozialdemokratie und der politischen Linken. Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf der historischen Perspektive, relevante zeitgeschichtliche Internetquellen sind dennoch berücksichtigt.

Presse lyonnaise de 1790 à 1944 Dès le début du XIXe siècle, la presse lyonnaise témoignait des sensibilités politiques les plus diverses : du Progrès libre-penseur (il compta Jules Vallès au nombre de ses collaborateurs), au très clérical Nouvelliste.
Il faudrait y ajouter un monument de l'écrit lyonnais : la Revue du Lyonnais, austère et savant périodique édité de 1835 à 1901, où des générations d'érudits évoquèrent des pans souvent oubliés de l'histoire locale. A côté de ces grands titres battant volontiers des records de longévité (Le Salut Public parut de 1848 à 1944, fondé en 1859 Le Progrès existe encore), vivait ou bien souvent vivotait une nébuleuse de petites feuilles s'employant à déjouer les pièces de la censure et abordant les domaines les plus divers : les beaux-arts, la mode, mais aussi les problèmes sociaux et les revendications ouvrières.
