Innovation Blog - Clayton Christensen Last month I had the opportunity to attend the annual meeting of the Academy of Management (AoM). The Academy is the global professional organization for business academics, so the annual meeting draws attendees from business schools all over the world. I’ve typically been too busy to travel to the annual meetings, but luckily for me, this year it was held in Boston, so I was able to spend a couple days attending some of the sessions.

Tous y viennent.

Disruptive technology Sustaining innovations are typically innovations in technology, whereas disruptive innovations cause changes to markets. For example, the automobile was a revolutionary technological innovation, but it was not a disruptive innovation, because early automobiles were expensive luxury items that did not disrupt the market for horse-drawn vehicles. The market for transportation essentially remained intact until the debut of the lower priced Ford Model T in 1908. The mass-produced automobile was a disruptive innovation, because it changed the transportation market. Selected Projects This Archive collection of projects includes creative direction, production, design and animation in the public and private sectors. Pattern in the Land Client Name:Golden State Museum Patterns in the Land is a revolutionary interactive exhibit that combines ultra-high-resolution satellite imagery projected on to a topographically accurate relief map of the State of California.

Why math is the most important thing during case interviews. So, without using a calculator: what is 40 x 36? What is 12,5% of 160? What percentage is $ 2 million of $ 14 million? If we sell product A 5.000 times for $ 1,49 a piece, what is our revenue?

Moore's law Moore's law is the observation that, over the history of computing hardware, the number of transistors on integrated circuits doubles approximately every two years. The law is named after Intel co-founder Gordon E. Moore, who described the trend in his 1965 paper.[1][2][3] His prediction has proven to be accurate, in part because the law is now used in the semiconductor industry to guide long-term planning and to set targets for research and development.[4] The capabilities of many digital electronic devices are strongly linked to Moore's law: processing speed, memory capacity, sensors and even the number and size of pixels in digital cameras.[5] All of these are improving at roughly exponential rates as well. This exponential improvement has dramatically enhanced the impact of digital electronics in nearly every segment of the world economy.[6] Moore's law describes a driving force of technological and social change in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.[7][8] History[edit]

About – Think People. Think Client. Think Team. Hybridity Brings Clarity to Ambiguity Tackling issues of such complexity has required us to create a very different kind of consulting firm. Instead of throwing our weight behind a single discipline or even a multidisciplinary mixed bag of ideas, we have consciously cultivated a new type of office environment, a new kind of talent recruitment, and even a fundamentally new way of measuring the performance of our people. Our culture and environment of Team is every bit as important to the work we do as the methods and ideas we've developed over the years. Ruthlessly Committed to Our Clients' Success – Guaranteed Our business model is based on an idea that we think should be obvious: that a consultant's reward should be based on the happiness of the client.
