Mesh: Understanding Land Impact » Sculpt Blender Land Impact is one of the biggest worries that people seem to have about mesh in Second Life. Select and edit an object in world and look for a link below the LI count that says “More Info.”

Planet Texture Map Collection I work in the field of advertising. One day I needed an image map of our planet for use in a rendering for a printed piece, and was suprised to discover that such a thing was pretty hard to find. So I created my own using scanned data, lots of painting, and reference to USGS digital elevation map data. Once I had completed both a bump and color map of the Earth, I turned to the other planets in our solar system, scavenging data where I could and piecing together the images I am sharing here. Above, you'll find links to pages where you can obtain high-quality texture maps of the planets for the purpose of 3D rendering.

ArduinoMeetsBlender - chrisworld-projects - Arduino, Processing and Blender Interactive Programming Demonstrations. by Chris B Stones January 13, 2010 This project demonstrates how to use the Arduino to control items in Blenders Game Engine via the OSC protocol. It was initially created for real time digital puppetry. But it can be used as a starting example for any project that needs to communicate with Blender's GameEngine via the OSC (Open Sound Control) protocol. Since it uses the OSC protocol this project also demonstrates how any OSC enabled app can send data to the Blender GameEngine.
