British Secret Service - The Rainbow scheme Elizabeth I, Queen of England - The "Rainbow" portrait (Stevan Dedijer) Introduction I propose here that the "Rainbow" portrait of Elisabeth I at Cecils' Hatfield House in England is a statement of an Elisabethan "grand scheme" probably conceived and commissioned around 1600 by cousins Francis Bacon and Robert Cecil with the knowledge and participation of the Queen herself. For her portraits were a state matter of politicalimportance in which she had the final word. The scheme is a statement in the policy debate going on in England after the defeat of the Spanish Armada in 1588.
- Jerusalem Dome of the Rock, Jerusalem, Israel (Enlarge) Jerusalem, by virtue of the number and diversity of people who have held it sacred, may be considered the most holy city in the world. To the Jewish people it is Ir Ha-Kodesh (the Holy City), the Biblical Zion, the City of David, the site of Solomon's Temple, and the eternal capital of the Israelite nation. To Christians it is where the young Jesus impressed the sages at the Jewish Temple, where he spent the last days of his ministry, and where the Last Supper, the Crucifixion and the Resurrection took place.
U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) Robots Could Be The Future Of Prostitution April 21, 2012 Lee Rannals for RedOrbit.com Researchers believe that one day prostitutes might lose their grip on the underground sex realm to robots. The slutty robots would become the apple of the eye for those wanting to partake in the sex-for-profit industry in 2050, according to Australian researchers Ian Yeoman, management professor, and Michelle Mars, sexologist. They wrote in a journal called Futures that they envision an Amsterdam sex club called “Yub-Yum” that is littered with robot women, who will be “sexual gods and goddesses of different ethnicities, body shapes, ages, languages and sexual features.” “It is modern and gleaming with about 100 scantily clad blonde and brunettes parading around in exotic G-strings and lingerie,” the researchers wrote.
Quantum mechanics Wavefunctions of the electron in a hydrogen atom at different energy levels. Quantum mechanics cannot predict the exact location of a particle in space, only the probability of finding it at different locations. The brighter areas represent a higher probability of finding the electron. Quantum mechanics (QM; also known as quantum physics, quantum theory, the wave mechanical model, or matrix mechanics), including quantum field theory, is a fundamental theory in physics which describes nature at the smallest scales of atoms and subatomic particles. Quantum mechanics gradually arose from theories to explain observations which could not be reconciled with classical physics, such as Max Planck's solution in 1900 to the black-body radiation problem, and from the correspondence between energy and frequency in Albert Einstein's 1905 paper which explained the photoelectric effect.

Les Français : • Martin de Chassiron • Michel Dubocage Wormhole 'no use' for time travel For budding time travellers, the future (or should that be the past?) is starting to look bleak. Hypothetical tunnels called wormholes once looked like the best bet for constructing a real time machine. These cosmic shortcuts, which link one point in the Universe to another, are favoured by science fiction writers as a means both of explaining time travel and of circumventing the limitations imposed by the speed of light. The concept of wormholes will be familiar to anyone who has watched the TV programmes Farscape, Stargate SG1 and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

For many people, it would be self-improvement and knowledge. Newcounter knowledge is the backbone of society’s progress. Great thinkers such as Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Edison, Benjamin Franklin, Albert Einstein, and others’ quests for knowledge have led society to many of the marvels we enjoy today. Your quest for knowledge doesn’t have to be as Earth-changing as Einstein’s, but it can be an important part of your life, leading to a new job, better pay, a new hobby, or simply knowledge for knowledge’s sake — whatever is important to you as an end goal.

Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.” – Aristotle Post written by Leo Babauta. Follow me on Twitter. If you could just pick one or two (or seven) habits to create in the next few months — habits that will have the most impact on your life — what would they be? I often get asked this question, because people are overwhelmed when it comes to starting positive life changes.
