App Structure Apps come in many varieties that address very different needs. For example: Apps such as Calculator or Camera that are built around a single focused activity handled from a single screenApps such as Phone whose main purpose is to switch between different activities without deeper navigationApps such as Gmail or the Play Store that combine a broad set of data views with deep navigation Your app's structure depends largely on the content and tasks you want to surface for your users. End-to-End Experience Design When I started as an application designer in 2001, I worked really hard for my clients, whipping their applications into shape. I would conduct usability reviews and hands-on design sessions to overhaul the app, I’d agonize over each screen layout, review, test, revise, then buckle down with development until we pushed out the release. It was hard work and I was proud that I was a good designer. But I had tunnel vision.
Navigation Drawer Developer Docs Creating a Navigation Drawer The navigation drawer is a panel that transitions in from the left edge of the screen and displays the app’s main navigation options. Value proposition canvas template - Peter J Thomson A value proposition is where your company’s product offer intersects with your customer’s desires. It’s the magic fit between what you make and why people buy it. Your value proposition is the crunch point between business strategy and brand strategy. When you’re starting a new project or a new company you need quick and dirty tools to help you focus on executing things faster and better. Good strategy tools exist only to help you focus on getting the right things done. The value proposition canvas is a simple tool that quickly gets you to the ‘minimum viable clarity’ required to start building and testing.
Art & Copy - Watch Documentary Online Art & Copy is an Independent Lens documentary aired on PBS details the social, ethnic and commercial phenomenon called advertising, as well as its influence on our modern lives. Directed by filmmaker Doug Pray, the film talks about the leading creative and talented people in the history of advertising industry, particularly in the U.S. These advertising experts openly admit they’re all geniuses. All of them are greatly proud of their amusing and engaging adverts that tell nothing for the product but its part of the brainwashing publicity method of branding, which attempts not just to redirect the attention away from the product or services but carries everything to a higher level. This method revolutionized the advertising business. Before the 1960s, advertisements were typically boring and no impact, nowadays ads are small creative artworks.
Photoshop Action - Multiple DPI Resizing for Android from mReady We’ve talked about Android’s DPIs and how we should use Full HD (1920x1080px) documents when creating apps for Android devices so we would create the XXHDPI graphical assets along with any other resolution assets we may require. Why you need it Exporting all the graphical elements at 4 or 5 different resolutions can be quite time consuming and a little help can go a long way. So instead of hitting “save for web”, calculating and then resizing for each individual DPI, why not use a scripted action to do the heavy lifting.

Download 35,000 Works of Art from the National Gallery, Including Masterpieces by Van Gogh, Gauguin, Rembrandt & More As a young amateur painter and future art school dropout, I frequently found myself haunted by the faces of two artists, that famously odd couple from my favorite art history novelization—and Kirk Douglas role and Iggy Pop song—Lust for Life. Vincent van Gogh and Paul Gauguin, above and below respectively, the tormented Dutch fanatic and burly French bully—how, I still wonder, could such a pair have ever co-existed, however briefly? How could such beautifully skewed visions of life have existed at all? Van Gogh and Gaugin’s several self-portraits still inspire wonder. My younger self had the luxury of seeing these particular two up close and in person at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC: Van Gogh’s gaunt and piercing visage, Gauguin’s sneering self-parody.
