Learn How to Create a Pattern in Illustrator CS5 | Illustrator Atoms | Illustrator Tutorials, Tips and Articles Many possibilities exist in the world of Illustrator CS5. One possibility is the ability to create seamless patterns. You have probably seen a variety of complex, clean-looking patterns around the web. Let’s get started! Open a New Illustrator File (File > New) with a size of 400px by 400px. Let’s set up our workspace: Press (Mac: Command + R / PC: Control + R) to show the rules and then press (Mac: Command + U / PC: Control + U) to set Smart Guides. You should have the following shape: (Images are zoomed-in to 200%) Right-click the entire shape and select Make Guides. At the LAYERS palette (Window > Layers) rename “layer 1” as, “Guidelines” and Lock the layer. Create a New Layer and name it, “Shapes”. At the COLOR palette (Window > Color) apply any colors of your choice. Select all the shapes/strokes that you drew (Mac: Command + A / PC: Control + A) and go to Object > Group. With the new shape selected go to Object > Transform > Reflect and select Vertical. Looking good!

Here’s a little tutorial showing you how I basically go about aging a woman’s face in Photoshop. Preface I've been asked several times by different members to post a tutorial on how I age-progress a person. Men and women age a little bit differently but since I've only aged female celebrities thus far, I'll just focus on women for this tutorial. Step 1: Choosing an Appropriate Photo When deciding to age-progress a celebrity’s face, I try to select a picture that is touched-up as little as possible. I find that candid shots, or any shots that have not been taken in a studio, work best because the resulting harsh lighting reveals more of the skin’s details i.e. slight bags under the eyes and faint wrinkles. Step 2: Collecting Reference Material Reference material is key in my method of aging. Step 3: Thinning Brows Now the fun begins!

En este caso yo elegi una foto, puedo convertirla toda en un brush o puedes seleccionar la parte que mas te guste. bueno en este ejemplo elegi una parte de la imagen, antes de convertirla en brush le puedes hacer todos los cambios que quieras como difuminarle los bordes, etc 2º- Una vez que sleccioné lo que mas me gusta de la imagen voy a edit>> define brush preset y le doy el nombre que quiera y listo tienes un brush nuevo en la paleta activa de pinceles. 3º- Cuando vayas a guardar el pincel este se guardara en forma de grupo de pinceles asi que antes de guardarlo te conviene crear varios brushes con características similares y luego guardarlo como set de brushes.
