Many people came to the rescue, however it was @Ivoryhut her responded with a recipe idea that went beyond delectable. Tiramisu Pancakes. oh. hell yeah. Why not have dessert for breakfast? Oh wait, this is getting confusing. Huh?! And while you're at it, come visit Ivory Hut food blog - This woman can make bread, the most beautiful striped bread even!

These photos and recipes are from Ivory Hut - enjoy! ~Jaden These amazing Tiramisu Pancakes started out as a casual idea spurred by a tweequest for things to do with half a cup of mascarpone, and the fact that I had just posted a pancake recipe on my blog. The maple-butter glaze is optional, but it gives the pancakes a nice boost of sweetness and extra maple flavor to remind you that these are, in fact, pancakes. I also maintain that, as decadent as it sounds, it might be a tad healthier than regular pancakes because you're not drowning it in syrup. ~Ivory Hut. Spaghetti and Meatball Pot Pie. Remember those meatballs I made for a “special idea” on Friday? Here is that idea, Spaghetti and Meatball Pot Pie. I took the concept and figured if pizza was a good pot pie, then spaghetti and meat balls would be too. This isn't as much a recipe as it is a process. I started by greasing the inside of ramekins (1 cup sized, 3 1/2” in diameter).

Then I put in a mix of white and mild cheddar cheese. Next I add in two of the meatballs and sauce. Top that with some vermicelli that had been tossed in the sauce too. Another piece of cheese. For the crust, we made one order of our standard pizza dough and then cut out 3 1/2” circles. I rolled those out a little bigger and then pressed them over the top of the ramekins. Since I wanted the crust to be reminiscent of garlic bread, I made a glaze of butter, roasted garlic, parsley and thyme.

I fired up Alexis' Big Green Egg to 450f and set it up in “convection oven” mode with the plate setter legs down. About 15 minutes in, they started to brown. Most favorited all-time. Parmesan Roasted Potatoes. Ok fine. I’m officially ready to make the transition to fall. And I thought, what better way to do it than with my all time favorite Parmesan Roasted Potatoes!

These are like candy. 100% addictive. Once you stop, you just can’t stop. If you knew the amount of potatoes we consumed in a week, you’d be shocked. I’d venture to say we go through at least a 5 lb bag of potatoes once a week. And there are just 2 of us… and 1 of us eats more than his fair share. I always, without fail, make these with Yukon Gold potatoes because here’s the truth… I’m too lazy to peel the skins off potatoes.

This is more a technique rather than a recipe, since you can scale these potatoes up if you’re cooking for a crowd. You’re going to start with some naked potatoes…. Add on all the seasonings… Using your fingers, go ahead and toss everything together…. Put them in the oven for about 15 minutes. Once they are nice and golden and crispy, throw them onto a serving platter…. And then EAT!! Parmesan Roasted Potatoes. Sweet saturday: one minute peanut butter cake. Those nights meant freedom to my sister and me, too: babysitters! The Love Boat! Fantasy Island! Oh my, how we looked forward to watching Charo charm Captain Stubing and his merry crew, sharing a bowl of hot buttery popcorn balanced between our nubby, bandaged knees. Last night I was attempting to compose this second part of my favourite-cakes-into-cupcakes post, and I was literally falling asleep sitting up, so I decided to close the laptop and go to sleep (it was still light out!). After eight wonderful, beautiful, and, most importantly, uninterrupted hours of rest, I woke up this morning at 5:30am–before the kids! I decided to make some strong French press coffee and write this post in bed with windows open, early-morning sun, and country breeze (very French indeed). There are, however, a pair of little wee feet pressed up against my leg as I write, but at least they’re sleeping feet. I am, undoubtedly, a morning person: a morning baker and a morning writer, so now that I’m rejuvenated, caffeinated, and motivated, let’s talk cupcakes.
