How to Make Marshmallow Fondant This time I decided to make it with those mini fruit flavored marshmallows. I had to sort them by colour first. I figured they would add a little bit of flavor to the fondant so I wouldn't have to add much flavoring oil. I use gel colours to dye my fondant but regular food colouring will work too. I also had lemon oil and coconut flavoring on hand.. oh la la the value brand (which still works fine). Step One: Take a couple of handfuls of marshmallows and put them in a microwave safe bowl. I like to make smaller batches because its easier to add the colour to the melted marshmallow than it is to work the colour into the fondant later. Step Two: Stick the marshmallows in the microwave for ten seconds at a time until the are puffed up and easily stir into a goo with a wooden spoon. Step Three: Add food colouring to the melted marshmallows until you get the colour you want. Step Four: Start folding icing sugar into the marshmallow goo until it becomes a soft and fluffy dough. Finished fondant! 1.
The 3 Best Free Classical Music Download Sites Classical music can be an ambiguous term. It is widely used to identify the Classical period, which approximately covers the years from 1750 to 1820. The following is a list of the best classical music download sites that provide a mix of both, i.e. classical music ranging from Baroque, Classical, and Romantic periods and via the 20th century to Contemporary classical music of our time. All tracks and albums are legal to download. They are either copyleft / public domain or available under a Creative Commons license. Classical.com Classical.com is the classical pendant to iTunes. Every week, however, an entire album is available to download for free. As I write this article, the free download is an album of famous Strauss waltzes, available as mp3’s in 128 and 192 kbps. Peanut Butter Chocolate Cupcakes with Peanut Butter Frosting Even before we tasted these cupcakes, we'd already consumed a fair number of baked goods. There was the espresso chip scone. The Nutella sandwich cookie. Oh and the dark chocolate covered honeycomb candy. What could possibly possess one to consume all those treats while peanut butter cupcakes were cooling at home? Mummy's in town of course! And might we add, all of these treats were consumed while walking. (We might also add that they were consumed while walking to a Whole Foods in order to purchase green juice. Really, if we're being honest, we could have used more, um, fuel. All we can say is thank GOODNESS these cupcakes were waiting for us when we got home, positively famished of course (because of the walking and the shopping and the hauling of juices). We needed fuel. Yup. Peanut Butter Chocolate Cupcakes with Peanut Butter FrostingMakes 12 cupcakesAdapted from Sprinkles Print Recipe Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Banana Split Bites Banana Split Bites ~ A classic ice cream dessert gets mini for some bite size fun. And yes, there is actually a tiny scoop of ice cream tucked inside and underneath the whip cream of those little darlings. Banana Split Mini Bites For once I made something mini for portion control and not just for the cute factor. My little guy had some friends over the other day and of course with a mom who is a baker, the expectation is dessert will not only be good but it will be fun. Keeping all things in mind what I served is what you see here. Here’s what wasn’t a hit and what I learned. Impromptu play dates with four kid’s ages 3-5 year olds after a full work day –not a good idea.Know in advance what other kids will and won’t eat. Luckily, dessert made all things right. No recipe just a few notes: Use firm bananas and cut into 1 inch sections. Leave a Comment

Correcting The World's Wrongs With Campfire Bananas - Home - Burgh Baby "What are you doing?" my husband asked. He was staring at me as if I had eighteen heads, each with 20 piercings and Mike Tyson-esque tattoos. "Making Campfire Bananas," I said. In my head, his question was quite possibly the dumbest one I had ever heard him ask. "What are those?" ::blink::blink::blink:: ::blinkblinkblinkblinkblink:: "Are you serious?" "Yeah, what are they?" "You are a victim of child abuse," I told him in a bewildered tone. I turned to Twitter to report this crime against humanity. My memories of Campfire Bananas are wrapped in Girl Scout camp and fires by the lake and all sorts of . . . . hell, who really cares? Anyway, let me share with you how joy can be packaged in a banana peel. Campfire Bananas You'll need some bananas, chocolate chips, marshmallows, and I am a fan of throwing some peanut butter into the mix as well. Peel one strip from the banana and then cut a groove in the banana, kind of like how the Sandwich Artists at Subway used to cut the bread "boat style."
DIY Solar Lamp: Make Your Own Eco-Friendly Sun Jars The principle is simple and seductively clever: solar lights that store energy during the day and release light at night. These can be purchased ready-made in a variety of colors (yellow, blue and red) but they can also be built at home. A simple, less-technical approach involves buying a conventional solar-powered yard lamp and then essentially harvesting it for key pieces to put in a jar. A more electronically-savvy individual can take the more complex route and built a solar lamp from the ground up using small solar panels – though the aesthetic result may not be as impressive. Whatever route you choose to go, these are fun and sustainable gadgets that make it easy to go green, automate the process of turning on lights at night and can add some color to your porch, patio, garden or windowsill.
Stylish Cuisine « Peanut Butter Cup Bars My cousin Greg from DC stayed with us last night. It was great to see him. When we have company, what’s one of the first things that I think of? I LOVE Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, and this recipe produces an unbelievable tray of them in bar form. I’m including the recipe as I found it on the Internet. Using a pizza cutter is a brilliant way to cut these bars after they’ve chilled. All four boys loved the bars, which surprised me because one of the boys has claimed for years that he doesn’t like peanut butter. The Hazel Bloom: The Best Macaroni and Cheese Recipe Ever I can say this is the best macaroni and cheese recipe ever because it's not really my recipe. I tweaked it a tiny bit - basically made it even more fattening - but otherwise, it's someone else's. It's from someone named Bev, who posted her recipe on Recipezaar and to whom I am eternally grateful. See, macaroni and cheese is pretty much my all-time favorite food. One of my first-ever memories is of sitting down in front of the TV with a bowl full of macaroni and cheese and watching Emergency! I should probably stop there. So back to Bev. Bev is probably totally creeped out now too. I'm a total freakfest today. Oh - and this recipe is great with many noodles other than macaroni (like penne, yum!) Okay, I'm shutting up now. (Conchiglie pasta - this organic Montebello stuff is out of this world:) Here's the recipe! Adapted from the Bev's Macaroni and Cheese recipe on Recipezaar Serves 5 - 6 Ingredients 8 oz. to 10 oz. macaroni or other pasta (like conchiglie!) Instructions
