Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Truffles

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Truffles
I’ve never liked chocolate chip cookies. Go ahead and throw tomatoes at me if you’d like, but I don’t like ’em. They’re just a plain old cookie, after all, with a few studs of chocolate chips in them. They’re nothing special to me, unless you get some cookie dough-action before it meets its fate in the oven. Now you’re talkin’. I’d much rather drown my sorrows in a bowl of cookie dough than nibble a dozen “cookies” dipped in milk. I know there are plenty of cookie-dough-nay-sayers out there… you know, the salmonella scare and all . Chilled dough is rolled into 1-inch balls. Those chilled dough balls are dipped in chocolate and then placed onto waxed paper to set. I dipped a few in Ghirardelli White Chocolate Bark and a few in the Chocolate version too. Oh yeah! Cooking for One: 29 Insanely Easy, Healthy Meals You Can Make in Minutes In the kitchen, one can be the loneliest number. The fear of leftover fatigue or doing the math to modify recipes for a single serving (why do so many recipes make so much at once?) can drive anyone to order out or eat a sad bowl of cereal rather than cooking. After all, spending time making a dish that requires pans and utensils isn’t worth it when you’re dining alone, right? Toffee Recipe An easy homemade toffee recipe that you’ll get requests for time and again! Made four simple ingredients, it is a favorite! The holidays and making this toffee recipe go hand-in-hand for me. Well, candy-making in general goes hand-in-hand with Christmas around here, but toffee? Well, it tops the list.

Rainbow Cake in a Jar I’ve always had a penchant for sunshine in a jar. Doesn’t the very phrase itself, “sunshine in a jar,” roll off your tongue and fill your mouth with magic? While I’ve never yet found myself a sunshine in a jar, I think we may have just concocted it in our kitchen tonight. In this simple recipe, a basic white cake is turned into a slew of bright colors, baked to perfection, then topped with a creamy white frosting. Cakes baked in jars can be topped with traditional metal canning lids and stored in the fridge for up to five days. They make a great treat to ship to someone, so long as you can ensure delivery to it’s final destination within 3 days.

peanut butter pretzel bites « Two Tiny Kitchens Salty and sweet. Crunchy and melt-in-your-mouth. Peanut butter and chocolate. Dangerous and delicious (you know what I mean). One little bite, so much to experience. Why did I wait so long to give these a try?? Bacon and Apple Grilled Cheese Sandwiches Grilled cheese sandwiches are packed full of delicious flavor: sweet crisp apples, savory bacon and sharp white cheddar cheese. Top with a light honey mustard and you've got the perfect lunch! Well, because I posted tomato soup yesterday, I only felt it necessary to post grilled cheese today. OMG, you guys, these bacon and apple grilled cheese sandwiches are amazing. They seriously taste like fall, if you can call a grilled cheese sandwich “fall-like.” It’s the apples guys.

Homemade Almond Roca First off, Happy Easter! This is one of my favorite holidays because it is a special time to reflect on what our Savior did for all of us and how grateful I am to him for that. It also symbolizes new life and new beginnings which I am so grateful for as well. Banana Espresso Chocolate Chip Muffins We don't mind working hard. Sometimes the results are so much more satisfying when we've put a lot of work into something. Like cleaning our apartments top to bottom including the dusty bits under the furniture and Magic Erasing all the scuffs off the walls (seriously, where do they all come from). Fresh and Easy Chocolate Dipped Clementines with Sea Salt Sprinkles It’s funny how sometimes I see a recipe and I mark it as a *must try*. Then there is other times that I see a recipe, and I get up and make it immediately. That was the case when I saw these Chocolate Dipped Clementines over at Jessica’s blog. I knew I had to make them right then and there! Homemade Cheesy Chili Dip Waell, looks like we’re going to have to stuff our faces with favorite game day foods two posts in a row. Hmm. Darn. When it comes to party food game food snack food etc, I have a deep and borderline inappropriate love for cheesy dips bubbling away inside of little mini Crockpots. And my ultimate weakness is almost always some variation of a Chili Cheese Dip which I regret to say is almost always is made with V to the elveeta. Just one question: WHY?

Buttermilk Blueberry Breakfast Cake I swear buttermilk is magic. I’ve dwelled on this before. Buttermilk seems to turn everything to gold. Super-moist, super-delicious gold. Anyway, I needed a simple, summery, breakfasty, cake-like-but-not-dessert-like recipe to make this morning. One of Ben’s friends had crashed here last night, and I thought it only appropriate to treat him to a proper breakfast.
