A few days ago, I put a call out on Twitter for help. Marscapone help, to be specific. Many people came to the rescue, however it was @Ivoryhut her responded with a recipe idea that went beyond delectable. Tiramisu Pancakes. oh. hell yeah. Why not have dessert for breakfast? huh?! And while you're at it, come visit Ivory Hut food blog - This woman can make bread, the most beautiful striped bread even! These photos and recipes are from Ivory Hut - enjoy! ~Jaden These amazing Tiramisu Pancakes started out as a casual idea spurred by a tweequest for things to do with half a cup of mascarpone, and the fact that I had just posted a pancake recipe on my blog. The maple-butter glaze is optional, but it gives the pancakes a nice boost of sweetness and extra maple flavor to remind you that these are, in fact, pancakes. I also maintain that, as decadent as it sounds, it might be a tad healthier than regular pancakes because you're not drowning it in syrup. ~Ivory Hut Tiramisu Pancakes Instructions:

Spaghetti and Meatball Pot Pie Remember those meatballs I made for a “special idea” on Friday? Here is that idea, Spaghetti and Meatball Pot Pie. I took the concept and figured if pizza was a good pot pie, then spaghetti and meat balls would be too. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Truffles I’ve never liked chocolate chip cookies. Go ahead and throw tomatoes at me if you’d like, but I don’t like ’em. They’re just a plain old cookie, after all, with a few studs of chocolate chips in them. They’re nothing special to me, unless you get some cookie dough-action before it meets its fate in the oven.

Apple Cider Pancakes + Cinnamon-Sugar Topping For more recipes like this one, check out my new blog, Set the Table at Around this time of year, I am conditioned to expect fall weather. Cooler temperatures, the slight change in the shade of maple leaves, and the crispness that suddenly hits the air. Warm mugs of hot apple cider become a daily indulgence and I cannot help but love every ounce of what the season has to offer. That’s all thanks to growing up in Minnesota, where the seasons, though unpredictable at times, come in the appropriate month.

Broccoli Cheese Soup: Panera Bread Copycat Recipe On Wednesday my sister and I volunteered to make the soup supper to go with the Advent service at church. Before you go thinking I'm some kind of charitable, goodhearted soul, I must tell you that the only reason that I do it is because I LOVE COOKING. In case you hadn't figured that out yet. Parmesan Roasted Potatoes Ok fine. I’m officially ready to make the transition to fall. And I thought, what better way to do it than with my all time favorite Parmesan Roasted Potatoes! These are like candy. 100% addictive. Once you stop, you just can’t stop. Pasta with Roasted Red Pepper Sauce I love pasta. Always have. Always will. And I prefer pasta sauce without meat—a throwback to my vegetarian days in sunny Los Angeles.

Cinnamon Roll Pancakes There are certain recipes that when I see I absolutely have to make. This doesn’t happen all that often. Usually I’ll admire something and bookmark it, maybe getting inspired by another beautiful recipe along the way. Broccoli Cheese & Cracker Casserole This is a recreation of a common broccoli-cheese dish I’ve seen on a couple of down-home restaurant menus…and it’s a little on the weird side. Sometimes, though, weird can be a wonderful thing. I love broccoli-cheese anything (see the soup I posted a couple of weeks ago) and while broccoli-rice casserole isn’t something I grew up eating on Thanksgiving, I always love my sister-in-law Missy’s when she brings hers along.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Peanut Butter Cups Soooooo… you know that episode of Sex and the City where Miranda has to dump dish soap on top of chocolate cake just so she will stop eating it?? Uh. Yeeeeeah. sweet saturday: one minute peanut butter cake Picture this scene: it’s 8:30 in the evening. The sky is just starting to get dark outside your living room window. You ate a delicious, healthy and veggie-filled dinner a few hours ago and now you are ready to sit down to the most recent episode of So You Think You Can Dance and dive into a decadent plate of dessert. Oh wait, you have no dessert. No chocolate, no cookies, no ice cream, no cake, no pie, not even a Jordan almond. What’s a girl to do?

Cinnamon Toast&Rolls The USDA released its new food pyramid the other day (which is actually a plate now instead of a pyramid), and I am sorely disappointed to report that cinnamon rolls did not appear anywhere on that plate. I think by now most of us know what should be on our dinner plate in terms of healthy, well-rounded nutrient-laden meals, but it is my considered opinion that our breakfast plate should include cinnamon rolls now and then. And not just any cinnamon roll, mind you, but how ‘bout a homemade cinnamon roll hybrid that is a cross between a cinnamon roll and cinnamon toast, is super easy to make and gosh darn delicious.
