Rubber Band Pop Up Cube I probably get 2-3 emails a week inquiring about rubber band pop ups. The best book I know on the subject, Up Pops by Mark Hiner, is out of print and there is little information to be found on the Internet. Here is a template, closely modeled on Hiner's design, for the rubber band powered pop up cube. Download PDF. Print on sturdy card stock. The printed lines are on the wrong side of the piece, but since we need to see them as we work, I will refer to the printed side as the "front" and the plain side (the right side) the "back." Extreme Cards and Papercrafting: Halloween Halloween is coming, so I was inspired to transform a papercraft Mystery Machine van into a pop up card. I used a paper model by mikedaws and this other one by Gary Williams and Craig Griswold for reference. From a technical point of view, this pop up card is a 180° Open Top Box (for the van sides, front, and rear) combined with a Tabletop Floating on Boxes (for the van roof).

The Enchanted Petal: How to Make a Paper Flower Medallion A few months ago I came across a picture of some paper wall art that looked like pretty dahlias and thought… I can totally make that, so I did! I made large ones and small ones and before I knew it I made a lot of them. I brought them into the flower shop and my coworkers loved them! We hung them on a wall in our office and it turned into a pretty spiffy looking bit of wall art.

Illustrated Books The Library Dragon Written by Carmen Agra Deedy Illustrated by Michael P. White When Sunrise Elementary School advertised for a thick-skinned librarian with a burning love of books, Miss Lotta Scales knew she was perfect for the job. Who could guard books better than a REAL dragon? "She kept a fiery eye out to make sure no one removed any books from the shelves.... The very thought of sticky little fingerstouching and clutching, pawing and clawing, smearing and tearing her precious books just made her hot under the collar."
