Rafts, Skirts and Brims! This tutorial will help you understand the differences between rafts, skirts and brims. All three techniques provide a starting point for your model, but they have different uses and advantages. Rafts A Raft is a horizontal latticework of filament that is located underneath your part. Rafts are used primarily with ABS because they provide separation between the part and the heated bed.

WebGL Inspector An advanced WebGL debugging toolkit About WebGL Inspector is a tool inspired by gDEBugger and PIX with the goal of making the development of advanced WebGL applications easier. What Firebug and Developer Tools are to HTML/JS, WebGL Inspector is to WebGL. Note: this is alpha software - if you find bugs, let me know (or better yet, fork and fix them! :) A New Open-Source Farming Robot Takes Shape The world of automated farming may be an unglamorous one to those not invested in its attractions, but like the robots themselves that quietly get on in the background with tending crops, those who follow that path spend many seasons refining their designs. The Acorn is a newly-open-sourced robot from Twisted Fields, a Californian research farm, and it provides a fascinating look at the progress of a farming robot design from germination onwards. The Acorn is not a CNC gantry for small intensive gardens in the manner of designs such as the Farmbot, instead it’s an autonomous solar-powered rover intended for larger farms which will cruise the fields continuously tending to the plants in its patch. It’s a work in progress, so what we see is the completed rover with the tools and machine vision to follow. It pursues the course of a low-cost lightweight platform, an aluminium chassis surmounted by the solar panel, with mountain bike front fork derived wheels at each corner.

Robotics - Humanoid Robot HRP-2 "Promet" HRP-2 is the final robotic platform for the Humanoid Robotics Project headed by the Manufacturing Science and Technology Center (MSTC), which is sponsored by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) through New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO). The total robotic system was designed and integrated by Kawada Industries, Inc. together with the Humanoid Research Group of National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST). Yaskawa Electric Corporation provided the initial concept design for the arms and AIST 3D Vision Research Group and the Shimizu Corporation provided the vision system. HRP-2’s height is 154 cm and its mass is 58 kg, including batteries. It has 30 degrees of freedom (DOF) including two DOF for its hip.

How to: Ionic in Visual Studio Mobile devices are taking over the world. If you are a web developer, you need to be prepared for a world where people spend the majority of their computing time on mobile devices. This doesn't mean "the web is dead", just that you need to be able to write code that works on mobile devices. The primary way to do this is by writing responsive web sites. However, sometimes you want to be on your user’s home screen. Design Sprints — the Secret to Rapidly Developing Products Customers Actually Want This post will teach you the process of running a design sprint — a method developed by Jake Knapp, a partner at Google Ventures — to solve big problems and test new ideas in just five days. Most teams often invest months, even years, in developing a product or service, only to discover they've built something that no one wants. Jake developed a method that helps teams make better use of time and resources by simulating the entire product development process in just five days. A design sprint helps teams filter ideas and gain clarity as to which of them are best to pursue. Let's dive in and see what that process looks like at a high level, and how to implement it.

GLSL 1.2 Tutorial In this tutorial shader programming using GLSL 1.2 will be covered. Although many parts are now considered deprecated, the essence of GLSL has remained constant. Besides, this tutorial will continue to be online because learning the basics of deprecated OpenGL is easier than learning the new versions. If you’re looking for a GLSL tutorial that deals only with non-deprecated features visit the GLSL Core tutorial, here in Lighthouse3D. Shaders are a hot topic and 3D games have shown that they can be put to good use to get remarkable effects. This tutorial aims at providing an introduction to the world of shaders. sans titre Information The current position of RESPONDER is at North Sea (coordinates 57.41657 N / 4.84797 E) reported 1 min ago by AIS.
