Fancy Curlicues for Designers Elaborately twisted, curled, and curved lines have always been of particular interest for designers, helping them to create really delicate, refined, and beautiful decorations or embellishments. Such patterns bring the feeling of the highest aesthetics, certain mystery, and infinity to the design works. Today Cruzine offers its readers the collection of multiple shapes and brushes for Photoshop as well as vector sets, featuring multiple and versatile swirls and curls. These designing materials are distributed here for free but they are really valuable in multiple areas of application, especially for different greeting and invitation cards, some fashion posters and calendars, and, of course, thematic web sites, where curly lines and twisted shapes can be used for creating fancy backgrounds and interesting graphic decorations. How to Create a Cartoon House in Illustrator Final Image Preview This Adobe Illustrator tutorial is not very difficult but still it is designed for those who know Adobe Illustrator at least a little bit. I will show you how I draw the elements of vector scene. Basically, I use simple techniques. Step 1 So, let’s start! Draw a sketch of a house (I usually use Photoshop for this) and then paste it into Adobe Illustrator. Step 2 Below the sketch create an outline of the house with the Pen Tool (P). Copy and paste the result shape to the front (Cmd / Ctrl + C; Cmd / Ctrl + F). Step 3 With the Pen Tool (P) create a shape of a roof. Then create a shape of clarified part of the roof. Then create shades and reflection of the sky. Step 4 Create strips on the roof which will illustrate its heterogeneity. Create some more small details which will convey the play of light on the edges of the roof. Here as well I use the same bending modes and different values of opacity to control intensity of light. Step 5 Draw a shade on the house. Step 6 Step 7

How to Create a Digital Doodled Snowflake in Adobe Illustrator Much of my childhood included hours spent cutting out odd shapes from folded pieces of paper and unfolding them to reveal the weirdest snowflakes I could imagine. Join me in Adobe Illustrator for a fun twist on this classic craft project. Draw a large circle (mine is eight inches in diameter for printing purposes) with the Ellipse Tool (L), fill set to null, Stroke Weight 1pt. Using the Line Segment Tool (\) to dissect the circle vertically. Add a new layer. I find it easiest to keep track of everything if the guidelines are on one layer, the sketch on another, and the art layer between the two. I'm using my initial sketch as a general guide for this part. Continue doodling the snowflake design. Group together your Blob Brush sketches. As you create shapes with the Pen Tool, adjust anchor points with the Direct Selection Tool (A) so curves are rounded and edges are smooth, rather than sharp or rigid. Start by drawing around the section with the Pen Tool.
