Pepperoni Pizza Monkey Bread

Pepperoni Pizza Monkey Bread
How do you make bread even better? You stuff it with pepperoni and cheese. Then, you bake it in a bundt pan that allows you to pull off little chunks and dip them in pizza sauce. This is the perfect thing to bring to a party (and I did, where it disappeared quickly!) or to eat during a football game. Or, make it for dinner and serve with a salad. This bread takes a little bit of time to prepare, but in about half an hour I had filled my bundt pan with little dough balls, each with a piece of pepperoni and cheese stuffed within it. My new definition of bliss: warm dough with a cheesy center and a bite of pepperoni. Pepperoni Pizza Monkey Breadfrom Confections of a Foodie BrideIngredients: -2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced -4 tbsp butter -2 lbs pizza dough (I used 2 balls of Trader Joe's fresh dough) -6 oz. mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes (about 48 pieces) -pepperoni (about 48 slices) -2-3 cups marinara sauce for serving Directions: 1. 3. 4. Steak and Cheese Stuffed Pretzel Bites The very first time I ever attempted to make pretzels was after a long day at work a couple of years ago. I was tired but had been browsing pictures of pretzels all day and I just craved one. They surprisingly didn’t take much time at all and definitely satisfied my craving. Nutella Mug Cake I have been experimenting with different mug cakes every since I heard about them about a year ago. None of them have been winners. They were either too chewy, too dry, or not sweet enough. Well, I continued experimenting, and thought why not add some decadent Nutella into the mix. Quick and Easy Lemon Cake This is the lemon cake that my Nana usually always makes for me when I go home to California. We both forgot about it during my last visit and I didn’t realize until I got back to Sicily that I hadn’t had my Lemon Jello Cake fix. Luckily, I have the recipe! And lucky for you, I’m going to share it! This is one of the easiest cakes you can make and I will argue that it’s one of the best-tasting cakes you will ever eat. What makes this cake so great is the glaze.

Pizza Stuffed Mushrooms Are you a mushroom lover or a hater? If you are in the happy loving mushroom camp, have I got a ground breaking, life-altering recipe for you! If you’re a hater, then I’m really very sorry for your loss. They are tasty little fungi. Sweet Bacon Tator Tots Recipe Sweet Bacon Tater Tots Recipe Sweet smokey bacon wrapped around tender tater tots. What more could you ask for in a savory appetizer? If you have leftovers, reheat them in the oven to get them nice and crispy again. I had a small percentage of the tots break, so be gentle when transferring them to your serving dish. Portobello Sliders Want another slider recipe? Yeah, I know, I know. I’m posting two sliders back to back, but it’s Labor Day Weekend, and I figured another vegetarian (and this one is vegan-friendly) recipe might be helpful for you when planning your weekend party-going festivities. This one is super simple.

Chocolate Cupcakes with Flaming Strawberries Call me easily amused, but these little torch-topped cupcakes delight me. Besides being a cute novelty item for a party, I think they would add a little drama to the end of a romantic meal. I've been looking for something different to serve for Valentine's dessert, and this is definitely different. The strawberries are hollowed out and filled with a bit of liquor, then ignited with a match. For the cake portion, I chose a One Bowl Chocolate Cupcake recipe because 1. it's quick 2. it is easy, and 3. it fits my prerequisite for a light ending on date night. I should say, a light ending provided you don't eat too many.

to make: cobbler baked in jars I made these for the Seattle Bake Sale for Share Our Strength organized by Frantic Foodie (thanks Keren!). I had so much fun making pies in jars that I figured this was the perfect opportunity to bake something else in jars. This time I used half-pint wide mouth jars, a nice size for a bake sale.

Life-Changing Loaf It took me a long time to settle on the title for this post. Why? Because it’s quite a statement to suggest that a humble loaf of bread will change your life. I am willing to be so bold. When I began eating healthier, bread was definitely on my hit list. Not because bread is inherently “bad” (in my books nothing is that black and white), but that I knew when I was basing three meals a day around a loaf of crusty, white French loaf, something had to give.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip It’s time for a little confession. I realize this may get me shunned (especially in my hometown of Pittsburgh!), but….I don’t like football. Homemade Cereal Bars Recipe Homemade cereal grain bars are even tastier than the boxed version, but so much healthier. These are made with oats, flaxseed meal, and honey, and easily made vegan or gluten-free. My kids love nutrigrain and other fruit cereal bars. At first glance, they look like a healthy easy lunchbox option. Many are even organic. But after looking at the ingredients on the back of the box I decided I could not continue to buy these very often.
