101 Ways to Use Tagxedo - Tagxedo Blog
I'm glad to announce that the first version of "101 Ways to Use Tagxedo" is completed! --> <-- Please be patient as it does take a while to load the document (10MB, over 150 images). A few slides: Each way to use Tagxedo is accompanied by at least one example. I tried to go for the full spectrum of possibilities, but still there are many variations that are not covered, or merely mentioned in passing. Please help me spread the word.

The Promise of Virtual Reality in Higher Education Virtual reality teeters on the edge of becoming mainstream, with software development outstripping the hardware and memory storage needed. In this article, a librarian and an art historian discuss the many ways that VR may transform learning and student experiences. Not that long ago students and scholars could access only the libraries and museums available to them on their home campus — or perhaps in their city or region — because only a select few had the credentials to access materials from other institutions or the means to travel to distant places for their research. The Internet changed everything, of course, with the corpus of human knowledge now at everyone's fingertips. Just as hypertext, digital publishing, and other digital media have transformed the ways in which we engage with documents and collections, the technologies surrounding virtual reality (VR) may ultimately transform the ways in which we teach, learn, engage with each other, and experience the world writ large.

Free File Friday. Scalloped Edge Rose Card Today I’m sharing a Greeting Card File. This is a lovely General purpose card but I’m thinking that it may also come in handy for my readers who celebrate Mother’s Day on March 26th as a Mum’s Day Card. For my other readers who celebrate Mother’s Day in May, maybe you can stash the file away for later or use it for Birthdays, Thank You or other occasions. This picture, although at a weird angle shows the Basic card after cutting – I popped it on the black background so the cut outs are more visible. The file includes the Card base, a scalloped piece to use as an optional contrast colour behind the cut outs and also a rectangle panel.

Eight Great Apps for Educators to Create, Display and Share Nancy White/Flickr By Kathy E. Gill, PBS MediaShift For educators looking to integrate iPads, iPods and other mobile devices, here are eight must-have apps that will make life easier to do things like move files, capture lectures, read PDFs, and much more. 1. Bloomin' Apps This page gathers all of the Bloomin' Apps projects in one place. Each image has clickable hotspots and includes suggestions for iPad, Android, Google and online tools and applications to support each of the levels of Bloom's Revised Taxonomy.I have created a page to allow you to share your favorite online tool, iOS, or Android app with others. Cogs of the Cognitive Processes I began to think about the triangular shape of Bloom's Taxonomy and realized I thought of it a bit differently.Since the cognitive processes are meant to be used when necessary, and any learner goes in and out of the each level as they acquire new content and turn it into knowledge, I created a different type of image that showcased my thoughts about Bloom's more meaningfully. Here is my visual which showcases the interlocking nature of the cognitive processes or, simply, the "Cogs of the Cognitive Processes".
