Bookshelves + Staircase = Bookstairs I am so enthralled by these that I just might build some bookstairs that lead to nothing in my pad. This beauty belongs to London-based Veronika and Sebastian. My only addition would be a space to keep a pillow or two so I can sit and read on the stairs if I feel so inclined. P.S. Here are 19 other unique bookshelf ideas. {Images via Creative Cloud} Temperature-Sensitive Glass Product Details Color-changing dyes and additives have been offered in paper, plastic, and textiles for some time, but this product takes the idea into a new area: glass tiles. Offered in a range of colors and sensitivities, the tiles change color based on ambient temperature, body temperature, or water temperature. The textured glass surface layer protects and highlights the color-change film on the tile. The base color of the tile can match almost any color, and the temperature change point can be fit to the user’s environment and requirements.

Gravity Stool by Jólan van der Wiel The Gravity Stool is the graduation project of Jólan van der Wiel in the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam. "The Gravity Stool thanks its unique shape to the cooperation between magnetic fields and the power of gravity. Departing from the idea that everything is influenced by gravitation, a force that has a strongly shaping effect, I intended to manipulate this natural phenomenon by exploiting its own power: magnetism. The positioning of the magnetic fields in the machine, opposing eachother, has largely determined the final shape of the Gravity Stool. It is the combination of the magnetmachine with the plastic material, developed especially for this purpose, that enabled me to start a small but efficient chain of production." See more;

desire to inspire - jo's page A small room off the dining room serves as my husband's office. Originally a bedroom, it is a strange "landlocked" room with windows opening onto other rooms, a consequence of alterations over the years. We think it was the maid's room when the house was first built.
