Programs - Hickey All Star Library Shelf Elves are 3rd-5th grade helpers that give up a recess once a week to come into the library and help shelve books. These people are a tremendous help to the librarian. There is an application that must be filled out, and it includes a set of shelving quizzes so that Mrs. Prather knows if a student needs any extra instruction on where things go in the library and how to shelve. One half of the class researched and dressed up as European explorers like Christopher Columbus. The other half acted as news reporters from all the major outlets ready with questions.
