The Brownie That Will Change Your Life

The Brownie That Will Change Your Life
Let me start off by saying that viewer discretion is advised for today’s post. OK now with the story that preludes possibly the greatest brownie I have ever sunk my teeth in thus far in my life. Last Saturday Mrs. Zesty had a baby shower to attend and she was designated for a dessert/sweet treat for the girls. Last week was a bit of a zoo and I think I forgot about prepping this dessert until Friday afternoon at work. After work I did a quick scan for some ideas and came up with a chocolate caramel brownie. I knew time was tight and I didn’t want to spend all night Friday night to prep a dessert. This recipe, I cannot take any credit for and nor will I try as it is compliments of Nestle Toll House and as you can see from the reviews…. Ingredients 1 pkg. (18.25 oz.) chocolate cake mix1 cup chopped nuts ( Optional )1 cup Evaporated Milk1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, melted35 (10-oz. pkg.) caramels, unwrapped2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) Method Thanks zesty

{No-Bake} Oreo Cheesecake Based on my rave reviews for the no-bake Lemon Cheesecake, you probably know by now that we enjoy cheesecake in my house. I love a good, classic, baked cheesecake, but my husband is much more partial to the no-baked variety. He loved this spider web version, loved the lemon version and he wants me to announce publicly that he really, really loved this Oreo version. (Remember, he’s not a man of many words, so “really, really” is huge. King Arthur Flour – Baking Banter - StumbleUpon Love brownies. Love their shiny, flaky top that shatters into micro-thin shards that shower onto your fingers as you eat. Love their dark, gooey center. Their “chocolate nirvana” flavor. Potatoes Romanoff – A Fancy Twice Baked Potato I’m totally ready for fall. I’m ready for super comforting meals that I get to eat while sitting at home, in my sweat pants, with my slippers on! And I’m ready for Thanksgiving. Too soon perhaps? Considering the fact that it’s still about 80 degrees here in LA, I guess this Potato Romanoff dish will have to do Make Your Own Girl Scout Cookies Make Your Own Girl Scout Cookies, Sans The Artificial Ingredients Whether you want to avoid some of the highly-processed ingredients (like trans fats and palm oil) or you just can’t wait for the annual cookie sale, we’ve got some simple ways to make healthier versions of these classic treats. Why Make Your Own Though Girl Scout cookies boxes say “trans-fat free,” the term is officially defined by the FDA as a food that contains less than 0.5 grams of trans fat per serving, meaning some varieties — including uber-popular Thin Mints, Samoas and Tagalongs — still contain trace amounts of the fat. Peanut Butter Banana Bread Peanut Butter Banana Bread Moist and delicious Peanut Butter Banana Bread is an excellent breakfast choice for those on the run. Peanut butter, bananas and peanuts are whipped together to create a nutty spin on the traditional banana bread. Doesn’t this make you want to run into the kitchen right this second and bake this incredible bread? If it doesn’t, it should! I mean come on, just look at that peanut butter glaze just dripping off of this bread! Green Tea Chocolate Balls It's a simple recipe to make green tea flavored chocolate balls, using white chocolate. The sweetness of white chocolate is well-balanced by the bitterness of green tea powder. Yield: Makes 12 balls Ingredients: Crack brownies Have you ever tried crack? Yeah, me either. After eating these brownies, though, I feel like I would probably be less addicted to crack. I mean, how can that not be the case with brownies, peanuts, marshmallows, Reese's peanut butter cups, chocolate, peanut butter and Rice Krispies all present in a single bite?! This recipe comes from my very good Heather, and I am very grateful that she shared it!

one-pan dark chocolate chunk skillet cookie For some reason, I was craving this on Saturday. Nothing else would do. All I wanted was a warm, gooey, chocolate chip cookie, straight out of an iron skillet. With just a little ice cream.
