Using backface-visibility and CSS Animations There are so many fun and interesting design possibilities with backface-visibility. When you turn an element over, what do you want to see? By default, we see a mirror image of an element when it is turned over. While this effect may sometimes be desirable, other times we may want to see a different element in its place entirely. With backface-visibility:hidden; we can make an element disappear completely as it turns and have another element waiting behind it to become visible as they rotate together. The possibilities are endless … and backless.

The Dangers of a Definition of Ready Although not as popular as a Definition of Done, some Scrum teams use a Definition of Ready to control what product backlog items can enter an iteration. You can think of a Definition of Ready as a big, burly bouncer standing at the door of the iteration. Just as a bouncer at a nightclub only lets certain people in—the young, the hip, the stylishly dressed—our Definition-of-Ready bouncer only allows certain user stories to enter the iteration. And, as each nightclub is free to define who the bouncers should let into the club, each team or organization is free to define its own definition of ready.

Animating CSS Gradients, using only CSS What you can do, however, is have two gradients, stacked on top of each other, and then transition the opacity of the top element. The opacity property is ubiquitous and animatable, making it perfect for this job. The method I am going to show you makes use of the :before psudo-element. You, of course, could add an additional element to your HTML if you’d like, but for the sake of keeping our markup clean and concerns separated, I prefer to use the :before element. Also, there will be an additional class added to this project, a wind pointer.

Roger Beynon – Customizing your Personas for the Sales Team (7 of 7) The persona series to this point focused on personas built specifically for website design teams. True, they can be utilized by teams from other functions (customer service, advertising, lead-gen, content producers), but the needs of those other teams often dictate an additional or alternate phase. This is particularly the case with sales teams. Our customers tend to be large corporations, so their sales people typically operate in territories and are less likely to be found in single-location clusters. This makes the training component of the persona process more difficult – often impossible — to coordinate.
Does cost matters? — Disruptive architecture The first question is how relevant factor cost is when making a selection of products. This different between consumers purchases and company purchases.
