My Spouse Doesn’t Enjoy Sex

So why do married couples have so little of it?” That was a question asked recently in a New York Times Op-Ed by Seth Stephens-Davidowitz, a former quantitative analyst at Google. Based on the results of his recent study of online search trends, Stephens-Davidowitz disclosed, “On Google, the top complaint about a marriage is not having sex.” And the top search is as likely to come from a wife as from a husband. “Searches for ‘sexless marriage’ are three and a half times more common than ‘unhappy marriage’ and eight times more common than ‘loveless marriage,’” he added.

This Google search trend is indicative of what marriage counselors say is a common problem faced by many couples: mismatched libidos. In this age of Viagra for men and now Lybrido for women, it’s not surprising we frequently get questions from Ask Pastor John podcast listeners in marriages who find themselves coping with different sexual interests. One listener, Steve, emailed us to ask, The ‘Sacred Ground’ of Murder.

A US politician thinks that the right to murder anyone who gets in your way to a successful career and lifestyle is “sacred ground”.

The ‘Sacred Ground’ of Murder

Well, OK, she did not come out and say that in so many words of course, but that effectively was the implication of her incredible statement made yesterday. I refer to Texas State Senator Wendy Davis and her ongoing defence of late term abortion. She believes it is “sacred ground” because it gives women “liberty” to choose their future.

Yep, killing babies frees you up to live the life you want – so it is fully justified. Here is how one news item covered the story: “Abortion is ‘sacred ground,’ and defending late-term abortion is a necessary component of ‘liberty,’ according to Texas State Senator Wendy Davis. “In an attempt to paint herself as a political moderate striking a conciliatory tone with the Republicans who dominate Texas politics, David said, ‘I will seek common ground, because we all must. . And while many open letters usually end with a grievance, this one is different: it ends with a heartfelt thank you for what the “mystery man” did at the game. Kooiman is a mother of three young boys, and on Sunday she and her husband took the kids to a Milwaukee Brewers game at Miller Park using tickets from her husband’s job.

“The weather was absolutely perfect for a day at Miller Park, but my anxiety level was still high because – let’s face it – I was bringing THE CHILDREN,” she wrote on her blog on Monday. And her fears were somewhat realized. “Isaiah was jacked up for his trip to the ballpark and his behavior reflected that,” she explained. Jamie Herrera Beutler (R-Wash.) that her unborn child was suffering from a normally fatal kidney condition, she was also advised that abortion was one of her options. However, the pro-life Republican refused to abort her child.

On Monday, Beutler announced that she had given birth to a baby girl, who she called a “miracle.” She first learned that her unborn child was suffering from Potter’s Syndrome, a usually fatal condition that affects kidney development during pregnancy, earlier this year. According to the Washington Examiner’s Tim Mak, the “child is currently stable, but required immediate dialysis due to a lack of functioning kidneys.” “The options we were offered were termination or ‘expectant management,’ that is, waiting for [the baby] to die.
