Brokin nglish. Saturday - March 21st, 2014 | Location: Seattle Given the timing of us being in Juneau, someone made mention of visiting the Mendenhall Glacier, and that the large lake was frozen and we’d have about an hour journey with crossing the lake, as well as the hike up the glacier to the Ice Cave entrance. There were lots of pitfalls and it was all about staying on the path, but given the weather warming up, we didn’t expect the lake to remain frozen all the way through (the First mini glacier shot) with the heavy foot traffic, but it did and was an amazing trip in. The usual trek would be about 3 hours had the lake not been frozen! If you ever get the chance to go to Juneau (preferably the winter season, to insure the glacier and lake freeze to be firm) I HIGHLY recommend visiting the ice cave, walking the lake (or ski) and taking in the site.

Art - Sweet Station Paul Kaptein ” My work is broadly concerned with the agency of the present moment. By sampling various cultural and temporal trajectories, I’m exploring the notion of the now as a remix of past and future potentialities. This facilitates a renegotiation of perceptual truths resulting in an expression of things not quite truth, yet not quite fiction. Central to this is the underlying theory of emptiness (sunyata). Often considered a void, Sunyata offers endless possibility.” – Paul Kaptein 17 wonderfully weird websites you should bookmark right now In 2012, it’s estimated the internet hosted an incredible 634 million websites. Even if you checked out a thousand a day, it would still take you over 1700 years to visit them all. But happily, you don’t need to live over 200 lifetimes to discover the Web’s most wonderfully weird websites. Why?

Solo Exhibition by the New York Artist Liam Everett at Paul Kasmin Gallery Project Space NEW YORK, NY.-Paul Kasmin Gallery Project space, in collaboration with Romer Young Gallery, San Francisco, present a solo exhibition by the New York artist Liam Everett. Everett’s installation Cura consists of a recent group of paintings, which the artist refers to as the “eclipse paintings.” Working with acrylic, salt and alcohol, Everett’s paintings both “record and arrest a seemingly alchemical process” and reflect his continued exploration of the perceptual experience.

Coilhouse “Alternative subcultures. They were a crucial aspect of industrial civilization in the two previous centuries. They were where industrial civilization went to dream. A sort of unconscious R&D, exploring alternative social strategies … but they became extinct.” Travel It is tough to describe our six glorious days at Castello Di Reschio in Umbria, Italy, without resorting to clichés and big words that sound like overstatements.
