CG___MaxenceBurgel Florian de Gesincourt, Art Director at Zootfly : "Maxence is a really a talented artist, very professional and creative. I worked with him several times to provide concept art for our games, the result was better than expected. He understood very well the needs of our studio, respect deadline, to deliver great concepts. Academy of Art Character and Creature Design Notes Habitat, Environment or Ecosystems play a major role in the development of an animal or creature's design. It's due to the varied terrain that animals belonging to the same family evolve over time to adapt to their surroundings. This is how individual species are born during the process of evolution, branching off from one animal into many different though similar variations. This is why the environment in which an animal lives is an integral part of creature design.

It’s wilder than in tokyo, and people are generally more open . Food is amazing , especially seafood (they eat everything, from seaweed to urchins, sea-spiders, crabs, jellyfishes, scallops, shrimps…it is quite strange , because we are not used to eat something that fresh ).

work in progress Right now I'm finishing my last few pages of Wednesday Comics, and that takes precedence over everything. But, now that I have that under control, how about we finish up with Sam? With watercolors I generally tend to work from background to foreground and light to dark, but I like to mix things up on portraits. cake or death Hi. I’ve been trying some new things for a small project. Starting tomorrow, the Arludik Gallery is hosting a new show titled Merveilleux! for which I did a small ink piece. The show explores classic tales and legends, features a lot of awesome people and will ultimately be published in book form by CFSL Ink. Videos Straight-away I was reminded of Jake Fried, but only in materials/process. It’s clear that Emanuele is also intuitively fleshing out the movement frame-by-frame as he goes but his work is unique in that there’s no figurative elements to recognize; only abstract geometry and form that, when quilted together, comes across as both familiar and foreign. I’m reminded of the notebooks I used to fill with random scribbles while bored out of my mind in high school: I’d start with a stray line or a random shape and then try to make sense of it with the remaining paper, as if the choatic mess left by my pen was what I had intended to create from the beginning. It was a way to pass the time and entertain myself instead of blankly staring at the clock, fantasizing about the bell that would eventually set me free. Thanks for passing this one along, Sam Lillard! P.S.

Une touche de réalisme> Illusion Emanuele Dascanio is masterful at hyperrealist art. The video within post shows how time-consuming and detailed his shading technique is. All of the greyscale images in this post are charcoal and graphite drawings on paper, and the colored ones are oil paintings on boards. And an extraordinary one to mention is “Father” (at top), this Jesus looking man is actually Dascanio’s real dad. See also: “Perfecting a Girl Named Mana.” Artwork and photo © Emanuele Dascanio
