Graham Cracker S’mores Cookies Graham Cracker S’mores Cookies Graham Cracker S’mores Cookies with a graham cracker base, topped with a chocolate chip marshmallow cookie and chopped Hershey’s bars on top. If you are a fan of s’mores, watch out! Homemade Tortillas Making soft delicious tortillas at home is surprisingly easy. In fact, once I started making my own suddenly all our dinners and lunches were rolled up in fresh tortillas. The dough is made from flour, shortening, water, and salt. I had all the ingredients on hand but the shortening.. which ended up only costing two dollars and has lasted through many many batches of tortillas. Considering how cheap the ingredients are and how delicious they taste it just doesn't make sense to pay for the much more expensive packaged ones.

Cinnamon Toast Rolls The USDA released its new food pyramid the other day (which is actually a plate now instead of a pyramid), and I am sorely disappointed to report that cinnamon rolls did not appear anywhere on that plate. I think by now most of us know what should be on our dinner plate in terms of healthy, well-rounded nutrient-laden meals, but it is my considered opinion that our breakfast plate should include cinnamon rolls now and then. And not just any cinnamon roll, mind you, but how ‘bout a homemade cinnamon roll hybrid that is a cross between a cinnamon roll and cinnamon toast, is super easy to make and gosh darn delicious. In honor of their ancestry, I call these little gems cinnamon toast rolls, and here’s all you need to make them…

Better-Than-Crack-Brownies I’m sorry for doing this to you. I really am. But see, last Friday while I was on a 10-hour road trip heading for vacation, I received this recipe from a reader named Liz. Liz, I love you. That’s all I have to say. I was tortured by this recipe for a full 8 days before I could make it.

How to Make Pizza Without Dough I was getting kind of sick of ordering delivery pizza (this happens at least 2-3 times a month). It was time to put a spin on gourmet pizza, but I just didn't know what it would be. Without pizza dough or an oven that is capable of creating the perfect pizza crust (I don't have an oven that can go up to a 1000 degrees), I decided I would use potatoes instead. Nutella Cinnamon Rolls May 10, 2011 | Print | E-mail | Filed under bread, nutella There are some days that I just lose my appetite. It might be because of my mood, or that nothing sounds good, or that I’m in a food rut again and need to spice things up a bit.

The Pastry Affair - Home - Garlic Parmesan Pull-Apart Bread I once made the driest pancake in the world. I can see you sitting at home, staring at your computer screen, and scoffing at my bold statement. Driest pancake in the world? Yeah, right. How would you even know? Want To Learn How to Make Gordon Ramsay's Favourite Dessert?-Hot Chocolate Fondant Posted by Grace Massa Langlois on Friday, 16th July 2010 Gordon Ramsay and his thoughts on Hot Chocolate Fondant – “Whenever I’m asked for my favourite recipe, this is the one. It has a divine melting texture and the liquid centre is sublime.” This recipe happens to be one of my favourites as well.

The Baker's Daughter: Polka dot cheesecake I saw someone wearing the greatest polka dot rain coat today and it inspired me to make this cheesecake. It needs to be refrigerated overnight so make sure you make it the day before you want to serve it. I find that popping it into the freezer for about 1/2 hour makes it a lot easier to cut.

Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookie Challenge from America's Test Kitchen for Boston Bloggers America's Test Kitchen is famous for its "Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookie" recipe. The Test Kitchen has challenged Boston Bloggers (and since I'm new to the Boston scene...) to test their recipe. This was indeed a challenge for me. In the past, I have really struggled with making great chocolate chip cookies - I know, how embarrassing. But true. I have been known (around our house) to burn the bottoms while the tops are still gooey, or to make them too big so they never get cooked evenly.

Cheesy Garlic Biscuits a la Red Lobster – Step by Step Easy Recipe I posted about these amazingly delicious biscuits in September, but the post isn’t very complete, I didn’t give you my actual recipe, and the picture is somewhat lacking. So I decided to take pictures when I made them last weekend and give you a play-by-play with photos. So here’s the copycat recipe for Cheddar Bay Biscuits (I think that’s what they’re called at Red Lobster, yes?) (One note, I doubled the recipe, so the pictures show twice as much stuff as what I’m telling you.) Set your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a cooking sheet with nonstick spray. Dump into a bowl: 2 cups of buttermilk biscuit mix (like Bisquick or Jiffy mix), 1/2 a teaspoon of garlic powder, and 1 to 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese.

The Domestic Mama & The Village Cook Oh baby. Oh yes. You can have your dough and eat it too.
