Also, major browser vendors are integrating these open standards into their browsers and deprecating most other plug-ins (like Flash Player). See Flash Player EOL announcements from Apple, Facebook, Google, Microsoft and Mozilla. By providing more than three years’ advance notice, Adobe believes that there has been sufficient time for developers, designers, businesses, and other parties to migrate Flash content to new standards. The EOL timing was in coordination with some of the major browser vendors.

Home: OMA OMA is a leading international partnership practicing architecture, urbanism, and cultural analysis. OMA's buildings and masterplans around the world insist on intelligent forms while inventing new possibilities for content and everyday use. OMA is led by six partners - Rem Koolhaas, Ellen van Loon, Reinier de Graaf, Shohei Shigematsu, Iyad Alsaka, and David Gianotten - and sustains an international practice with offices in Rotterdam, New York, Beijing, Hong Kong, and Doha. OMA-designed buildings currently under construction include the Taipei Performing Arts Centre; three buildings in Doha, Qatar; the Bibliothèque Multimédia à Vocation Régionale, a four-story public library in Caen; and Bryghusprojektet in Copenhagen, a mixed-use project accommodating the new headquarters for the Danish Architecture Centre. The counterpart to OMA's architectural practice is AMO, a research studio based in Rotterdam. Selection of current OMA and AMO projects:

Architecture Category Archive There’s a lot of talk about green design: why we need it, which developers are doing it, when elected officials set goals for it. This is all good. But under-recognized are the architects who actually figure out how to reduce a building’s environmental impact, while still creating structures that meet the traditional challenges of good design. So three cheers to the Seattle chapter of the American Institute of Architects.

Director Scott's immediate previous film was Alien (1979) and his most recent film, of course, is Prometheus (2012). These two films share with Blade Runner a look at our future worlds impacted by genetic engineers.

Jean Christophe QUINTON BIG - Bjarke Ingels Group ‘Solo Office’ by Office KGDVS (BE) ‘Solo Office’ by Office KGDVS The Solo Houses project, a collection of villas in Spain by international architects, has unveiled ‘Solo Office’, a house designed by Belgium’s OFFICE Kersten Geers David Van Severen. Currently under construction in a vast wilderness in the Matarranya region, 200 km south of Barcelona, Solo Office is a vacation home with a ring-shaped roof “that is as thin as possible, simply flooded by the light and landscape in a unique experiment with the surroundings” says Solo Houses, the promoter. “In Solo Office our aim was to see how far you can diverge from the preconceived idea of a ‘house’ and still create a comfortable place to live in; to produce a house that virtually disappears into its environment.” says Office KGDVS.
