The Force of ism (simplemind version) Will the Prison Rape Epidemic Ever Have Its Weinstein Moment? Just one month after the open secret of Harvey Weinstein’s predation was exposed, the “Weinstein effect” has become a well-established piece of the media vernacular.
The idea of a “Weinstein effect” is in part predicated on the idea that Weinstein’s overdue dethroning presents us with a replicable blueprint for challenging abusers and harassers in positions of power. It’s a model that already has had some success in the media and entertainment industries, among others. But for one demographic of rape and sexual assault survivors, the renewed and urgent public interest in redressing sexual violence offers no replicable template. The “Weinstein effect” has not, and perhaps cannot, reverberate through prison walls. “Prisoners do not have access to the media outlets or social media platforms that have helped make sexual assault a national topic of conversation.”
A national conversation about structurally enabled sexual violence in this country needs to address prisons and detention centers. Firefox for Android Help. Ism-mindmap-download. The Force of ism (simplemind version)
I added a screenshot of what I see when I click on this link. There should be three buttons: one to edit the page, one to download the mind map and on to share the links. In the above flickr link I draw arrows to each of these buttons. If you don't see them on your phone try viewing this page on you web browser on a desk top computer. If you don't see these buttons then you can try their support page: participation [at] pearltrees [dot] com – s243a
Hiho, how are you, with this beautiful spring almost Indian summer, sorry for my late answer. I've seen it now only now, the problem with this page ( and only this one ) is that the page comes out totally blank, I only see PT's watermark. But honestly the other mind map is super clear to read & understand, again thanks a lot for organizing and adding the sub folders. – topoletta
It works for me. On internet explorer as an example, when you click on the link, something at the bottom of the browser will pop up asking if you want to save it. That said, here is an alternative link you can try: – s243a

Wikipedia: Dog-whistle politics. Dog-whistle politics is political messaging employing coded language that appears to mean one thing to the general population but has an additional, different or more specific resonance for a targeted subgroup.
The phrase is only ever used as a pejorative, because of the inherently deceptive nature of the practice and because the dog-whistle messages are frequently themselves distasteful, for example by empathising with racist or revolutionary attitudes. It is an analogy to dog whistles, which are built in such a way that their high-frequency whistle is heard by dogs, but is inaudible to humans. Origin and meaning According to William Safire, the term "dog whistle" in reference to politics may have been derived from its use in the field of opinion polling.
