Nature Academy: Box of Goodies. I’ve realized that the only way to create realistic outdoor scenes is by adding lots and lots of nature elements. Things like trees, flowers, bushes, rocks etc. are essential in making the scene look “believable”. But I also know that creating these things by hand takes a very long time. And not everyone has time to sit down for hours on end and create tree after tree after tree. Which is why I’ve done the hard work for you :) The Box of Goodies! Inside this box of goodies you’ll find 9 nature models that you can keep. As well as this you’ll find a collection of grass reference photos that will help you to better create it in blender.

Thanks for the comments on the Guardians in the previous post, I agree with most of them. For those who mentioned the time frame and scale of the project – that is the main reason the characters look the way they do. Getting familiar with using 100% Open Source and Creative Commons tools and resources uncertainty about things working in 4knot being used to the visual style we are trying to work in (not quite Pixar stylised but much further in that direction than realism)not using things like raytracing, higher polycounts for base meshes and most other tricks I have been trying to previously construct a workflow from… So – where to from here?

On November 3rd, 2009, by angela My presentation at Blender Conference included facial topology for animation use, as well as demonstrating a series of facial shapes on our test model. A bit about my work flow: I start by creating the full symmetrical shape, ensuring natural progression from default shape (0) to full key shape (1). The next step is ensuring proper mixing of shapes. Much tweaking is spent on the more subtle details. Once the shape is completed, I weight paint to break up left/right side to allow asymmetrical expressions.
