Not only does Om represent the entire universe, known as Brahman, it is also said to be the source of all creation. Om represents all time: past, present, and future; and is beyond time itself. Om represents the eternal oneness of all that is, and thus represents the ultimate goal of yoga: to become unified in body, mind and spirit. The name that can be named is not the enduring and unchanging name. (Conceived of as) having no name, it is the Originator of heaven and earth; (conceived of as) having a name, it is the Mother of all things. Always without desire we must be found, If its deep mystery we would sound; But if desire always within us be, Its outer fringe is all that we shall see. Under these two aspects, it is really the same; but as development takes place, it receives the different names. Tao Te Ching, English by D. C. Lau, Terebess Asia Online (TAO) The Tao by Lao-tse. It is strange that the Sankhya of Kapila, the primary teacher of this planet is relevant even today.
It only proves that the truth, the need to realise it and the way to reach it have remained the same! If it is the human tendency to keep forgetting, it is the nature of the divine to keep reminding. The recapitulation of the one reality is initiated through a series of reminders, served by the Higher Ones who descend for this purpose, till the human beings ascend unto their divine nature.
