Watch the video above or read below to find out more (if you’re reading this twice, don’t worry, I accidentally posted it before the video was finished) The MIT Challenge — 4 Years of Learning in 12 Months Over the next 12 months, I’m going to learn the entire 4-year MIT curriculum for computer science, without taking any classes. Computers have always fascinated me. From finance to Facebook, algorithms are the hidden language that underlies most of our life. Beyond the poetry of the machine, computer science is also immensely practical. I’ve always wanted to speak that language. I’m embarking on this experiment because I want to show that learning doesn’t require acceptance boards and SAT tests, thousands of dollars in debt, or even the 4-year pace most students assume is necessary to learn a subject.

The Reader's Edge.

Improve Your Memory. Brain board - memory, learning, mnemonics. The Fastest Brain. The Blog of Michael Corayer

To put it simply, this blog is about my interests. These include psychology, music, education, and language learning. While most blogs maintain a single focus, I think that everyone has a variety of interests and seeing how those interests intersect and interact can be fascinating. Maybe only one or two of the topics I write about will interest you, but I encourage you to check out some of the others. Perhaps an unrelated topic will trigger a new idea or a new way of considering something.

Who am I? I’m a teacher and musician. Despite my full-time job as a teacher and having a “strong” academic background (B.A. in Psychology from Harvard), I generally think that most of the business of “education” exists for teachers, not students. Climb for Memory. Yes I am!

And it was a close one too! But I stuck with it and kept as composed as possible and made it through till the end. The whole day I felt incredibly calm, which was a big difference from last year where I was a right old mess. I don’t know why I was like that last year. Maybe it was because of the film crew that was there or maybe the pressure of trying to win a 3rd championship in a row. Right out of the gates I set a US record for the most Names & Faces memorized in 15 minutes, a whopping 193! Mnemotechnics: Memory Techniques Blog About Memory Improvement and Mnemonics.
