Puppy Linux è una distribuzione GNU/Linux Live CD creata da Barry Kauler nel 2003, rivolta alla facilità di utilizzo e al limitato consumo di risorse di sistema. Storia[modifica | modifica sorgente] SeaMonkey, AbiWord e MineSweeper in esecuzione su Puppy Linux 2.13 Puppy linux venne sviluppato per la prima volta da Barry Kauler, che pubblicò la versione 0.1 il 18 giugno del 2003. La versione di Puppy 2.14 (86,5 MB) utilizzava SeaMonkey come internet suite (principalmente come web browser e e-mail client). La prima serie di Puppy gira agevolmente su hardware molto datato. A marzo 2013 l'ultima versione è la 5.5, denominata Slacko in relazione alla compatibilità dei suoi file binari con Slackware ma è anche disponibile una versione compatibile con i DEB package di Ubuntu[2]; al momento è disponibile una versione in italiano derivata dall'originale.
