Christine Kim Le mois dernier, à l’occasion du Toronto Design Offsite Festival, Christine Kim a réalisé une installation aérienne composée de ses sphères en papier dentelé. Christine est une artiste canadienne qui travaille dans l’illustration, la découpe et le collage de papier. Calvin Nicholls It was only a matter of time before Calvin Nicholls' life-long passion in art and wildlife combined! The Canadian has been a full-time paper sculpture artist since the mid-1980's. With such a variety of animals in his collection, he's essentially created his own paper zoo. Many of the animal paper sculptures belong in Nicholls' most extensive collection, which includes over 75 pieces for Follett Library Resources in McHenry Illinois. "Initially a rigid form is constructed which establishes the contours of the subject and provides a stable base upon which the detail pieces are attached," Nicholls' says, as he explains his process. Eleonore Bridge, blog mode, site féminin, Paris Top 100 des plus belles affiches de festivals français 2012 Des classements des meilleurs morceaux 2012, on en a eu notre dose : Resident Advisor, Bleep, Nova, Inrocks, Figaro, Deezer, Pèlerin Magazine, Cuisine Hebdo… Pas un dîner, pas un after (avec un pc pour autant de djs qu’il y a de convives), pas un covoiturage sans discussion sur quel track-il-tue-sa-mère. Plus on a d’expérience, de pratique, plus on a de crédit. Bref, tout le monde a son mot à dire sur les artistes de musique. Il y a quasiment autant de selecta-programmateurs qu’il y avait de sélectionneurs de l’Equipe de France de feu Domenech. Par contre, pour ce qui est des affiches de festivals, les palmarès se font rares. Fini le temps du pote qui touche sur Photoshop (ou plutôt Paint) pour faire ton affiche vite fait. Cependant, difficile de dissocier illustration (art) et communication (stratégie). Ce qui est sûr, c’est que je préfère la nouveauté, la création, la recherche, la découverte, l’audace ! Voici donc un avis passionné, intéressé et travaillé… mais cela reste un avis.
