65 Popular And Professional Free Fonts For Creative Typography Some time ago I created article – 52 Really High Quality Free Fonts For Modern And Cool Design, which turned out to be very popular. But I felt like I haven’t featured even a half of beautiful, professional free fonts, so I decided to continue with another article. This time I found 65 high quality fonts, where many of them are very good for font creation, creative graphic typographic works, unique web design titles and so on. But hey – we are here all becoming/experienced designers, I don’t need to tell you where to use those fonts, I am here to find that stuff for you! Note – before using these fonts for commercial projects, check out creator copyrights (on their homepages, not asking me – I am just collector), because all of these fonts are free for personal use, but not all for commercial usage. Note – Updated on April 30, 2012

10 TYPOGRAPHIC PINTEREST’S BOARDS TO FOLLOW We all know very well that Pinterest is a social network entirely visual that serves as a big box from which we can draw any kind of inspiration. Indeed, we already recommended you an excellent board about typography in old beers or a selection of old coffee containers. Today we wanted to gather 10 typographic boards that are perfect to follow by any letters’ lover. We could have selected 20, 50 or even 100 as the offer within Pinterest is huge but we wanted to keep this list short and well selected (believe me when I say that it has been very hard to pick only 10, I spend quite a while deciding who to take off the list). We were not lead by the pins or the followers amount, so in this selection of 10 we found boards with 100.000 followers and also those with only 200, we didn’t keep it within a specific subject as within the typography you can find old documents, labels, packaging, logotypes, traditional printing boards…

The 100 Greatest Free Fonts for 2014 Here we are, once again, with our now-famous selection of the top 100 free fonts for 2014. The free font list comprises both entire font families and single weight downloads; either way, there is something for everyone and we think you'll love the ones we have picked out for you. Font Selection We have selected all kinds of typefaces which can be seamlessly integrated into any design: Sans Serif, Slab Serif, Rounded, Decorative, Display, Art Deco, Geometric, Futuristic, and many more besides.

There are alternatives to all those over-glossed icons, should you require a more simple, elegant design style.

The Best Free Alternatives to the Most Popular Fonts Look at the best sellers on the big font shops and you’ll see the same names sitting proudly in top spot. Proxima Nova, DIN, Futura and Brandon Grotesque in particular are extremely sought after typefaces that are commonly used in web design, branding and print. It can be pretty expensive to acquire these fonts, which means it’s often beyond the budget of most designers. Free For All: 103 Free Fonts! Berlin Font Family Berlin is a group of display fonts inspired by the classic geometric typefaces from early last century. It features (so far) four versions, each one in three weights: regular, bold & X-bold. Earlier this year Mark and I started working on Mr Red’s re-designs. Back then we thought about creating a font system to be used on the sayings and promo material.

#WinningWednesday: The Flow of Amazing Typography Design There is something graceful about Martina Flor, and her grace reflects in the way she produces amazing typography design that seems to flow together. She combines her craft as a designer and her illustrated vision to produce letters that connect with a gorgeous level of detail. Based in Berlin, Martina focuses her type, lettering, and illustration for clients all over the world. 'Your Logo Looks Like a Toilet' When the University of California introduced a new logo last year to unify its 10 distinct campuses, the effort was met first with public disinterest, then ire, then outright revolt. The modern, corporate logo was never meant to replace the venerable UC crest on diplomas or most other external documents. Yet, some 54,000 students and alumni signed a petition to "Stop the new UC logo" within months. Haters took to Facebook and Twitter to mock the design. They debated whether the logo looked more like a toilet, a Swedish roll cake, or a nuclear bomb.
