Jewelry Organizer (and a giveaway)
UPDATE PART 2: My Jewelry Organizer won the Elmer's Spring Creation Contest. I'm absolutely thrilled. Aside from receiving a visa gift card for winning, I also had the privilege of drawing 3 more winners from the comments via random.org to each receive an Elmer's DIY kit. The winners were: April, Barbara (VinoLuci), and Bestie.

A Bath Pouf. That, Um, Looks Like a Rose....
Have you ever had an idea, and you thought "That's awesome! It'll be so fantastic!!" and then you make it, and you realize that it's really kind of kooky? That sort of happened here today. (well, a couple of days ago)
Build a Food Storage Shelf
Preparation Instructions: Fill all holes with wood filler and let dry. Apply additional coats of wood filler as needed. When wood filler is completely dry, sand the project in the direction of the wood grain with 120 grit sandpaper.
Hanging Storage Baskets by The Mother Huddle
Fabric Cuts: From your fabric cut six 18½ x 28 inch pieces, and three 4 x 10 ½ inch pieces. You will then iron them onto you interfacing per it's instructions, and then cut out. Trust me, it's easier than cutting out the pellon and then ironing! As a side note, the ironing is the longest part of this project...if I had a teenager I would have paid top dollar to have them do it, just sayin'! Sewing:

Not only will you feel the elation of creation (hey, that rhymes!)
Fully lined zippered box pouch - pattern and tutorial - its a Pretty Modern life
I love the look of a zippered box pouch...so incredibly cute. I found many tutorials on the internet, but was disappointed after making pouches following these tutorials to find that they were not fully lined; looks so much nicer when you open your pouch and there are no seams. It took me a long time to figure it out and I thought and thought and thought...then I got it♥ I don't want to keep this knowledge to myself, so here it is. I'd like to thank Jane at Projects by Jane (the only other tutorial like this that I was able to find on the internet - wish I'd found it sooner). Her photos may help you out too if mine fail to communicate properly.
