See Euclid's classical solution in animation Modelling the Relationship between the Food System and Health, Development, and the Environment The aim of this project is to develop the first integrated model of environmental sustainability, health and economic development. Such a model will allow for in-depth exploration of food production and trade scenarios. Global food systems are highly complex. They are both influenced by and have an influence on health, economic development and the environment. They will face considerable strain over the coming decades as income growth, urbanisation and globalisation lead to shifts towards Western dietary patterns (e.g. high in meat and processed foods) across the developing world. Under these conditions, the challenge is to find a sustainable method to feed the world’s increasing population, whilst considering the trade-offs and synergies between health, environmental sustainability and economic development.

Kindergarten Grade 1 What is the Golden Ratio? – Math Memoirs – Medium The Golden Ratio has been heralded as the most beautiful ratio in art and architecture for centuries. From the Parthenon to Salvador Dali’s The Sacrament of the Last Supper the Golden Ratio has been found lurking in some of the world’s most celebrated creations. Now whether you believe this divine proportion is truly a mark of beauty or simply selection bias is up to you, but without a doubt it is one of the most intriguing numbers in existence. Phi is Golden Represented by the greek letter phi (φ), the Golden Ratio is the irrational value: Euclid and the Golden Ratio

Chaos Theory: A Brief Introduction What exactly is chaos? The name "chaos theory" comes from the fact that the systems that the theory describes are apparently disordered, but chaos theory is really about finding the underlying order in apparently random data. When was chaos first discovered?

Students are exposed to computer models connecting mathematical concepts to the physical world.
Home Primes numbers A prime number is a natural number which has no divisors other then 1 and itself. With this mathematical property, these numbers are the basis of modern cryptography and are often used in computer science to make our messages unreadable for outsiders and thus keep confidential all "our little secret" that passes from hand to hand (for example sending the password to our favorite social network or the payment order between the merchant and the bank). But how to find all primes between 1 and N ? The Most Studied Brain in the World was Scanned for a Year and a Half In Brief Stanford psychologist Russell Poldrack's 18-month study of his own brain reveals new relations between the brain and body. His study makes his brain the most examined in all the world.
