I’ve learned that the little devices most of us carry around are so powerful that they change not only what we do, but also who we are. 25 Best Art Blogs to Jump Start Your Creativity and Get You Inspired Working in a creative field and looking for a little inspiration? Also found here are sites for some of my famous family members, with two books and a comic series. I also have a Blog called Brad Ideas. ClariNet You may know me because I was the founder and software architect of ClariNet Communications Corp., the world's first ever ".com" company (by which I mean a business based on the internet rather than one like uu.net which sold connectivity itself) and which was also the net's first and for a long time largest electronic newspaper.

20 Free PSD Templates to Mockup Your Poster Designs Creating an artistic poster is one of the most fun projects a designer can work on. It’s especially satisfying when you have your hard work professionally printed into a physical poster, but this can be quite costly. You don’t have to spend all that money to see how your design would look freshly printed and mounted though, there’s a range of PSD mockup templates that simulate your design being presented as a framed print, wrapped canvas or even an outdoor billboard. In this post I round up 20 free Photoshop mockup templates that I’ve personally tried and tested, all of them have a special layer or Smart Object to place your own artwork to have it automatically mocked up.

Smart, dumb, candybar, flip, and brick: a visual history of mobile phones For most of their history, mobile phones have been shrinking. Small meant portable; it even, in the not too distant past, was a sort of status symbol. Remember Motorola’s runaway hit, the ultra-thin Razr? But something funny happened on the smartphone’s way to success. Even as the phones themselves became thinner and lighter, their screens started to grow.

This Feature Can Make OneNote More Productive Than Evernote OneNote and Evernote are both fantastic note-taking applications and they each have several amazing features that the other lacks — but there’s one feature in OneNote that stands out as both unique and productivity-boosting. We’re talking about OneNote’s Docking feature, which allows OneNote to “dock” to any side of the screen and prevent other windows from overlapping. It’s a relatively simple feature, but once you start using it, you’ll wonder how you lived without it.

Brandalism: 82 Artists Install 600 Fake Ads Across Paris to Protest the COP21 Climate Conference Just days before the start of the UN COP21 Climate Conference held in Paris and during the French state of emergency following terrorist attacks earlier this November, 600 posters were covertly distributed and hung within the city. The posters were not taped to poles or distributed in public grounds, but secured behind glass at bus stops around the city. The large-scale posters were advertisement replacements, fake corporate ads designed by 82 artists across 19 countries to satirize messaging found throughout the Parisian streets. Organized by the Brandalism project, the citywide sweep is meant to challenge the corporate takeover of the Paris climate talks, forming ads that target the link between corporations’ advertising with consumerism, global warming, and fossil fuel consumption.
