The eClock - Learn all about time - Interactive Clock Digital On/Off Words On/Off Roman/Arabic 37 Data-ish Blogs You might not know it, but there are actually a ton of data and visualization blogs out there. I'm a bit of a feed addict subscribing to just about anything with a chart or a mention of statistics on it (and naturally have to do some feed-cleaning every now and then). In a follow up to my short list last year, here are the data-ish blogs, some old and some new, that continue to post interesting stuff. Data and Statistics By the Numbers - Column from The New York Times visual Op-ed columnist, Charles Blow, who also used to be NYT's graphics director.Data Mining - Matthew Hurst, scientist at Microsoft's MSN, also the co-creator of BlogPulse.Statistical Modeling - We might disagree on certain things, but Andrew's blog is one of the few active pure statistics blogs. The Numbers Guy - Data-minded reporting from Carl Bialik of the Wall Street Journal.Basketball Geek - Like statistical analysis and basketball? 50 Viral Images Part Two My original 50 viral images (and how they spread) post turned out to be extremely successful and was read quite a few times to say the least. I was surprised so many people were interested as the images in there had already been passed around social media to death. With that said, I failed to consider most people don’t spend nearly as much time on the web as I do. Seeing as the first viral images post was published June 15, 2008 we’re passed due for a fresh one. Again, as I said in the previous post: Unfortunately due to the nature of images on the web (images being copied, posted without attribution, shared via email and public hosting services, being submitted anonymously, rexmied, etc.) it is difficult for me to give proper attribution of these images. Matt Cutts: Gadgets, Google, and SEO Fitbit has discontinued their Fitbit One step trackers, which seems like a good opportunity to step back and reflect on wearing one for the last decade or so. I’ve enjoyed using Fitbit trackers, but the One devices seemed like they broke down too often. I’m pretty proud that I ended up earning all the activity-related Fitbit badges though:

Edueto We lost the pricing…for good! We’ve decided that Edueto should be completely for free. As of today, the pricing is gone, and the full product is available for free. Oral presentations: Using visual aids Using visual aids It is very helpful to use visual aids in a presentation, as they help people to understand your topic. Most people learn visually as well as aurally. And particularly if your accent is different from your audience's accent, it can be very helpful to let them see your keywords on a slide. Diagram Software - The Best Choice for Diagramming All-in-one diagram software that makes it perfect for the following diagram software types. What's the diagram solution? 50 Viral Images (and how they spread) Viral videos are ubiquitous – they have spread into both mainstream pop culture and corporate America. Everyone talks about developing viral videos, and there are plenty of techniques you can use to give your video the best chance of success. But, something not talked about as frequently are viral images.

Hmm..I know.It is a powerful tool.I am a newbie and was toying with the free version only :D by k0nark Mar 12

Yeah right! I got interested by this website at the beginning because I'm a future science teacher and I wanted to use it with my students, but even in university, to present results of a research, it's very useful and much more interesting to see than a traditionnal eXcel doc. by cathcw Mar 6

I agree. The free version is excellent for students but somewhat lacking for professional applications. I used it as an ecology student and it worked great! by jsenia14 Mar 6
