1989 - The Voronezh, Russia Aliens

This case was reported in the United States by the St. Louis Dispatch. The story was originally published on October 11, 1989, in America, but its origin was the Russian newspaper TASS. The report recounts the adventures of several young children who claimed to have seen a three-eyed alien with a robot escort. The alien was said to be about nine foot tall. The craft, according to eye witness testimony, landed on the outskirts of the city. There are several important elements one must keep in mind regarding this extremely strange case of a close encounter.

Silanov stated that the media took an enormous amount of creative freedom with his report. "Don't believe all you hear from Tass," he stated. " I take this statement to mean that only a part of the news agency's report was based on the facts obtained from Silanov. "The reader must know everything.'' 1989-Voronezh UFO Landing. Reports of UFOs from the former Soviet Union are ofttimes viewed with skepticism by American Ufologists, and rightly so.

It is usually very difficult to get any type of corroboration of a report, and sources are often anonymous, and / or unreliable. In the year of 1989 alone, there are three such cases. One is the case of a Russian UFO Crash, the second is an account of the Battle of the Flying Saucers, and the third is an account of giant aliens which landed in a large ball-shaped UFO, and accompanied by a giant robot, walked around in park.

All three of these cases, although interesting to read about, belong, at best, in the folklore category. Allegedly occurring in the city of Voronezh, this account was actually carried in America by the St. The details of the case originated with one Genrikh Silanov, head of the Voronezh Geophysical Laboratory, who related his findings to TASS. Voronezh UFO incident

The incident was allegedly witnessed by a group of children, with other members of the local community, including civil servants, claiming to have seen the craft only.[1] The area has been popular with UFO-hunting tourists.[2] The Incident[edit] The story reported by TASS claimed that a group of children had spotted a small ball in the park whilst playing, which quickly morphed into a disc, which landed near them. Witnesses then reported a 'three-eyed alien' and a robot exiting the craft. The alien stared at a horrified on-looker, freezing them in their tracks, before departing and returning 5 minutes later to abduct a 16 year old boy, using what was described as a 50cm long 'pistol tube'.[3] Though the children were the only ones claiming to have witnessed the aliens themselves, Lieut.

U.F.O. Landing Is Fact, Not Fantasy, the Russians Insist

FEIN, Special to The New York TimesPublished: October 11, 1989 It is not a joke, nor a hoax, nor a sign of mental instability, nor an attempt to drum up local tourism by drawing the curious, the Soviet press agency Tass insisted today in discussions of what it called an extraterrestrial visit to southern Russia. Residents of the city of Voronezh insisted today that lanky, three-eyed extraterrestrial creatures had indeed landed in a local park and gone for a stroll and that a seemingly fantastic report about the event carried Monday by the official press agency Tass was absolutely true. ''It was not an optical illusion,'' said Lieut. Sergei A. Lieutenant Matveyev confessed that he had not actually seen the aliens, but said he saw the spaceship and ''it was certainly a body flying in the sky,'' moving noiselessly at a very high speed and very low altitude.

To be honest, Lieutenant Matveyev said, he was a little skeptical himself when he first saw the object. Vladimir A. Mr. The Giant aliens in Voronezh 1989.
