Scientists have found that memories may be passed down through generations in our DNA New research from Emory University School of Medicine, in Atlanta, has shown that it is possible for some information to be inherited biologically through chemical changes that occur in DNA. During the tests they learned that that mice can pass on learned information about traumatic or stressful experiences – in this case a fear of the smell of cherry blossom – to subsequent generations. According to the Telegraph, Dr Brian Dias, from the department of psychiatry at Emory University, said: ”From a translational perspective, our results allow us to appreciate how the experiences of a parent, before even conceiving offspring, markedly influence both structure and function in the nervous system of subsequent generations. “Such a phenomenon may contribute to the etiology and potential intergenerational transmission of risk for neuropsychiatric disorders such as phobias, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder.” Research link- Source: UTAOT.

Hidden within HR 933 is section 735, the “Farmer Assurance Provision.” Called the “Monsanto Protection Act” by critics, this section gives the USDA the power to allow the planting, harvest and sale of genetically engineered crops, even if a court rules that they were not properly approved. Short of a Presidential veto, the provision is a certain victory for genetically engineered foods. In a bid to solve this problem, scientists from the area have fitted 320 sharks with special transmitters that track the animals’ movements. If a tagged shark swims within a kilometre of any beach along the west coast, a receiver will trigger an alert, which then generates an automatic warning tweet.
Outstanding arrest warrants This database contains more than 4,500 outstanding arrest warrants for people wanted by the Linn and Johnson County sheriff’s offices, and the University of Iowa Police Department, which were added to the database Oct. 1, 2007. The oldest warrants date back to 1965 and include warrants for everything from parking violations, missed court appearances to felony theft and sexual-abuse charges. Anyone with information about a person appearing in the database should not confront that person on their own, but should contact the Linn or Johnson County sheriff’s offices.
