The Internet map
The map of the Internet Like any other map, The Internet map is a scheme displaying objects’ relative position; but unlike real maps (e.g. the map of the Earth) or virtual maps (e.g. the map of Mordor), the objects shown on it are not aligned on a surface. Mathematically speaking, The Internet map is a bi-dimensional presentation of links between websites on the Internet. Every site is a circle on the map, and its size is determined by website traffic, the larger the amount of traffic, the bigger the circle. Users’ switching between websites forms links, and the stronger the link, the closer the websites tend to arrange themselves to each other. Charges and springs

Many of you probably remember the “Points of Control” Web 2 Summit Map from last year, it was very well received. Equation Group: Meet the NSA 'gods of cyber espionage' Over the last couple of years we have been hearing about ever more sophisticated pieces of malware. From Stuxnet and Flame to Gauss and most recently Regin, all have shown increasing levels of technical prowess and all have been linked in some way with the US government. These were thought to be the pinnacle of a huge investment in offensive cyber capabilities by the world's wealthiest country. That was, until we learned about Equation. Described by Kaspersky Lab, the Moscow-based security company which uncovered it, as "an almost omnipotent cyberespionage organisation", the group has been called the "God of cyberespionage" and may have been operating undetected for almost two decades. While Kaspersky's report reveals much about the group, it barely touches the surface of the capabilities of what is likely the most highly-prized jewel in the NSA's cyberespionage crown.
