making chapstick When the weather gets cooler my mind turns not only to knitting but also to making body products. I made chapstick already last year, but wasn’t overly happy with the recipe, so I tried a different one this year. I used: 20% beeswax 25% coconut oil 15% cocoa butter 40% olive oil How to Draw Celtic Knotwork The old method These instructions can be followed with pencil and paper or using any computer based drawing or drafting program. I have used Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator, and AutoDesk AutoCad for various projects, but my favorite is Corel Draw. In the tutorial below I show the method that I use in Corel Draw; however, I have deliberately left out program-specific instructions.

It’s been a record year for mosquitoes here in Indianapolis, Indiana and I’d been wanting to add some Tiki-esque torches to the patio to combat the little buggers, and add a little ambiance.

DIY Turban We’ve recently received several requests for a turban DIY and so, your wish is our command . . . Before you start, tie your hair in a bun or ponytail. V and Co how to: jersey knit bracelet i don't know what it is about this time of year that makes me just want to have my bare feet in the sand, be watching the sun setting into the ocean, and breathing in the warm salty air of the beach...as i get older, more and more i find myself missing that place i used to go to almost every.single.day. as a teen. (my skin doesn't miss it. as a matter of fact, i now wish i listened more and DID put SPF on my face...hindsight is 20/20). my mom calls me from her walk on the beach almost every morning...*sigh*yeah, i get a little homesick around this time of the year. heck on my pinterest my "dreaming of summer" has the most pictures in it. ah yes. i miss my ocean. case in point. this bracelet, brought a flood of memories, not because i used to have one like it but because i can totally see me wearing it by the beach, not caring that it's gotten salty and wet, because i can totally make another one in like less than 5 minutes flat when i get home. *sigh*

DIY Fresh Flower Gift Tags Today’s DIY project is sponsored by Baba Souk. It’s time for the next installment of my little Garden Party series! When Stephanie of Baba Souk, a stunningly curated online shop filled with the works of independent designers and craftspeople, sent along these gorgeous, emerald floral gift tags for me to craft with, I had so many ideas. But when I was shopping that flower market again and saw those white anemones (Can anyone resist those? Because I sure can’t.) I knew these guys were meant for this series!
