Live Model Books Pose Tool A Pose is usually a collection of photos of a model in one position. For example, a nude model standing in the contrapposto position or the T-pose will be photographed from 24 different angles (once every 15-degrees as the model is rotated). Those 24 art reference photos are collected into one "Pose." When the project first started, we imagined our customers as sculptors.

The Dimensions of Colour Figure 2.1. Glossy sphere (billiard ball) under a single direct light source, showing effects of specular and diffuse reflection. Photograph by David Briggs. Light is reflected from most surfaces by two simultaneous processes, known as specular (or surface) reflection and diffuse (or body) reflection. Specular (literally "mirror-like") reflection creates the highlight as its most conspicuous expression (Figure 2.1).

Haunting Black and White Portraits of Homeless People by Lee Jeffries Photo series “Homeless” by Lee Jeffries will make you face the ones you neglectfully pass by everyday. Taken exclusively in black and white, each of these close-up portraits is incredibly detailed and capture life stories of homeless people on the streets of Europe and the US. You can get lost in the intense gazes, maps of wrinkles and scars, and all the emotional stories behind them. All this is captured despite the fact that the shot sometimes only takes a few seconds, as the “models” might get bored and change their minds. Accountant by profession, a self-taught photographer from Manchester started his career in photography as a sports photographer, but changed his approach after one incident in London..

Anatomy for Artists Course – Studio “I feel like I have been injected with some crazy power potion; suddenly I start to understand the incredibly difficult construction of the human body. Scott’s incredible skills made my jaw drop and I feel like this is the very first time I have had a real expert talking about real application of the theory.” Senior Character ArtistRockysteady Studio “Scott’s knowledge of human anatomy is uncanny and the way he teaches is the most effective I’ve ever seen. What is the difference between polmer clay and sculpey 111 clay? - Yahoo!7 Answers . Sculpey III is just one brand (and line) of "polymer clay." It's often the cheapest of the small pre-colored brands polymer clay (at least when Michaels *isn't* having one of their sales --which is right now!). Polymer clays must be heat "cured" at a certain temperature for a certain length of time or they won't harden (they don't harden in the air by "drying" like "air-dry" clays do). "Modeling" clays (the older type primarly used by kids) also won't harden in the air, but if baked it will actually melt.

Portraits of the Homeless Photographed in a Studio Environment “Down and Out in the South” is a series of studio portraits by photographer Jan Banning that explore the issue of homelessness. The project started back in 2010 while Banning was working as an artist-in-residence. A board member of the art center suggested homelessness as a potential subject matter for Banning to explore. Artistic Anatomy Is learning to draw anatomy in a classroom more secure (since there is a teacher to check the work and possibly a book to study from) in practicing artistic anatomy drawing, or should artists focus on just practicing from images on websites/blogs like this tumblr? Asketh - pjmx24 Depending on the size of your class and where you are, your teacher can be a great guide to help you and show you what areas you need to focus on more to improve and give you good material to work from! If your class size is too big (ideally a class of no more than 15 is optimal for a teacher to give extensive feedback to all students) you might not get enough feedback to really improve as much as possible to your full potential. Outside of class (or if you have no class) you should focus on drawing in a sketchbook dedicated for life drawing/anatomy. Even a page a week of studying will help you improve.

How to Draw Hands: 35 Tutorials, How-To’s, Step-by-Steps, Videos, Studies, Poses and Photo References 85 Comments | October 19, 2009 I’ve found drawing hands one of the most challenging aspects of drawing the human figure. You can get away with quite a bit when rendering the human figure, but get the hand wrong and it sticks out like a sore thumb. Once you start learning about the hand in greater depth, you’ll find it is truly amazing just how complex the hand is even though we see it everyday. Perhaps the following tutorials can help you and I draw better hands. Enjoy.

bodies-in-motion 30 second sequences from BiM Not long ago, I had twelve artists from Natural Motion (of Morpheme and Clumsy Ninja fame) into Somerset House, my home away from home, for a four day anatomy workshop. At the end of each day we would take about 20 minutes to draw from the Bodies in Motion library. sketching from BiM We made extensive use of the timer for gesture drawing. It can be set to 10fps, 1fps, 30sec, 1min, 2min, or 5mins, and ticks down to zero before flipping to the next frame of the motion sequence.

Mr.Dandy sculpture design, toys model kits and art figures - Resin Modeling Tips ! CAUTION! Resin model kits are NOT TOYS. The First Miss Universe Pageant, 1952 Beauty pageants are a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine. We all know they’re silly and superficial but does anyone else here count Drop Dead Gorgeous as one of their favourite comedies from the 90s? What I like about this photo series that I pulled out of the trusty LIFE archives, is the behind-the-scenes element that photographer George Silk has managed to capture. Amusing sideways glares exchanged between the girls, awkward moments and competitive streaks shining through, this photo story has plenty of it…
