More importantly, it is the _only_ set that featured red or white knight visors for the original minifig helmet. The next castle visor that would be released was designed to work with the modern helmet that's been in use since the days of Futuron. Also, it's been pointed out that the original minifigs came out in 1975, and the articulated ones followed in 1978.
