Internship Program The Education Trust internship program is for individuals who believe that all students can achieve at high levels and who want to work as part of a team committed to that goal. The program is designed for undergraduates, recent graduates, and graduate students who are capable of doing staff-level work under minimal supervision. Interns work closely with designated Ed Trust staff to develop and execute projects that will advance the organization’s agenda. Internships are typically paid positions. This is our original, flagship tutoring program which began in the fall of 2004. Elite recent college graduates from top universities across the country commit one year to public service designed to close the achievement gap in Boston, one student at a time. It is possibly the most competitive such program in the nation, more competitive than admission to the Harvard Graduate School of Education or Teach For America. Chicago Shakespeare Theater: Education Internship. Chicago Shakespeare Theater is currently accepting Education Intern applications for summer 2015.Applications must be received by March 1, 2015. Chicago Shakespeare Theater is dedicated to bringing great theater into peoples’ lives, and to creating opportunities for the work on our stage to support education and lifelong learning for students, teachers, and adult audiences. The Education Department creates and coordinates a number of programs, including: student matinee performances at the Theater and on tour regionally to schools; professional development through teacher workshops and seminars; printed and online educational resources to complement the work on our stages; an onsite Teacher Resource Center; and “CPS Shakespeare”, an abridged production staged by an ensemble of Chicago Public high school teachers and their students.
