** Deux ateliers de théâtre physique et de création sont offerts à Montréal en novembre 2013. Bien que les deux formations soient complémentaires, elles sont construites de façon distinctes et peuvent être suivies ensemble ou séparément. Cet atelier de formation met l’emphase sur l’écriture scénique, telle que pratiquée chez Satellite Théâtre et héritée de l’École Jacques Lecoq.
Action Theatre (Ruth Zaporah) Action Theatre is an improvisational performance technique developed by the American performance artist, Ruth Zaporah.[1] Action Theatre is defined by its focus on embodied awareness, the tracking of the present moment through sensory experience, and by a structured training that uses exploration to build the performer's 'formal dexterity and the ability to “listen” to oneself and one’s acting partners'.[2] This physical theatre technique is documented in Zaporah's 1995 book, Action Theatre: The Improvisation of Presence.[3] Jump up ^ Kourlas, G. But recent advances in computer modeling are yielding insights into the chaotic fluid flows that surround airplanes and transport energy in the ocean. There’s a more intuitive way to grasp the essence of turbulence, as I learned at the recent Turbulence, A Dance/Science Workshop. In a spacious grey room at Cambridge’s Green Street Studios, participants of all levels of skill and dance experience devoted an evening to literally embodying eddies, vortices, and energy cascades in spins, whirls, and improvised twirls.

La non-danse est un mouvement chorégraphique de danse contemporaine né au milieu des années 1990, principalement en France, et revendiquant une création scénique transdisciplinaire s'écartant du mouvement dansé traditionnel pour intégrer voire substituer les autres arts de scène (théâtre, vidéo, lecture, arts plastiques, musique) à la danse qui est plus ou moins mise en retrait.
Historique[modifier | modifier le code] Les chorégraphes qui ont développé la non-danse sont souvent issus du mouvement de la nouvelle danse française auxquels ils ont participé en tant qu'interprètes dans les années 1980. Le précurseur de ce mouvement est Orazio Massaro[réf. nécessaire] (danseur de la compagnie Dominique Bagouet de 1987 à 1990), avec le spectacle Volare, qu'il crée lors du Festival Montpellier Danse en 1990.
