December 22nd, 2010 | Category: Chocolate Two ingredients (seriously, only chocolate and water) and five minutes later, you will be eating The Best Chocolate Mousse of Your Life . I promise. And you don’t even need any fancy kitchen gadgets. Patience and a bit of elbow grease are required, but we always need those in the kitchen, right?
This, friends, is where procrastination gets me. I was staring at the computer, mired in writers’ block. I clicked on that Stumble button I installed in my toolbar but never use.
I have been experimenting with different mug cakes every since I heard about them about a year ago. None of them have been winners. They were either too chewy, too dry, or not sweet enough.
I usually know I've found a winning recipe, when I say the title and start to salivate. Cheddar bacon ranch pulls did just the trick. I ran across this recipe on Plain Chicken , and it's plain addictive -- she also refers to it as "crack bread." It's an easy way to spice up an otherwise standard meal or to wow company. It can be served as a bread course with dinner or as a nice hearty appetizer.
How do you make bread even better? You stuff it with pepperoni and cheese. Then, you bake it in a bundt pan that allows you to pull off little chunks and dip them in pizza sauce. This is the perfect thing to bring to a party (and I did, where it disappeared quickly!)
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip It’s time for a little confession. I realize this may get me shunned (especially in my hometown of Pittsburgh!)
Notes Cooking the chicken over high heat quickly gives it a nicely browned look and taste without needing to deep fry. Fresh orange juice in the sauce and lots of vegetables keep the dish and the nutrition balanced. Ingredients
Step aside, Kellogg. Better crackers coming through. CHEEZ-ITS are wonderful–and we all know this because we’ve been eating them since we were ten (unless you’re 75).
Last night, I decided to make one of my favorite cookies. These little pastry swirls are so delish! I usually use my favorite pie crust recipe, which I have previously posted, but I decided to try a pastry recipe by the Barefoot Contessa.
So what have I been eating lately? Wait a second, isn’t that what this blog is about? Indeed it is, but things have been a little different for the past couple days. If you read my last post you’ll know that I am trying out the Flat Belly Diet Jump Start (4-day anti-bloat).
