Crazy Domestic: Melted Snowman Cookies

Crazy Domestic: Melted Snowman Cookies
I saw a picture of these the other day on Allrecipes.com and thought it was such a cute idea, I had to try it. After googleing it, I found a good tutorial on Stacy's Sweet Shop. I modified a few things to make it more simple for me (less homemade more store bought). To see the original Melted Snowman Cookie, and meet the inventor herself, go check out Meaghan (great name) @ The Decorated Cookie! Here's what I used: •1 package Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix•10 large marshmallows•Betty Crocker Cookie Icing (white and orange)•Wilton Decorating Icing Tubes in Black, Red, Green, Blue and Pink***it would have been a lot cheaper if I had just made the icing myself, see Stacy's tutorial for a good recipe)*** Here's what I did: •Mix cookie mix according to directions, or prepare your favorite cut out sugar cookie recipe, then just grab a golf ball sized chunk and squish it down until it's about 1/4-1/2 inch thick. Steak au Poivre - The Showstopper I have a comment on this comment, then I have a comment for the OP. To Amy: Removing to foil is simply a way to keep the steaks warm whilst resting (FOR 5 MINUTES AT LEAST… ALWAYYYS!). When the OP says remove to foil, he/she doesn’t mean to wrap them tightly. They mean to place them in a plate, and form a loose ‘covering’ of foil. This will simply trap some of the heat and allow it to remain warm, without trapping too much moisture.

Watermelon Lime Sorbet Slices A sweet and tangy watermelon lime sorbet is a great way to cool off in the summer. As a bonus, this recipe is frozen back in the watermelon rind and cut off into slices. It’s hot. Crepes I had been putting off making crepes because I thought they were difficult to make. I decided to try making them and they turned out to be pretty easy. A small no-stick pan and a thin spatula that could get under the edge of the crepe to turn it over came in pretty handy. They are pretty good all by themselves when still warm from the pan though they are normally stuffed with goodies.

Grandma's Tasty Home Remedy for Chest Congestion and Nagging Cough CAUTION! If you need this home remedy for chest congestion for children, NEVER GIVE UNPASTEURIZED HONEY TO INFANTS! It contains a type of bacteria that, though harmless to older children and adults, can be very dangerous to those younger than a year. How To Make Barista-Worthy Coffee At Home Make coffee at home instead of buying fancy lattes at the local cafe (or, OK, Starbucks outpost), and you’ll save boatloads of cash each year. Shocking, right? If only it were that simple. 10 Easy Kitchen Extracts to Make at Home There is no need to buy vanilla extract, or most baking extracts for that matter, because a lot of them can be made at home. It may sound complicated and unnecessary to do this, but I can assure you it is much easier than you think. Most of the time making extracts entails steeping the flavoring ingredients in a liquor or sugar. Over time the liquid or sugar is infused with desired flavor and scent of the nut or bean that has been used. Sure, there are still unusual extracts at that I buy from the store.

No-Bake Chewy Cookies and Cream Bars Oh how I love a treat that can be whipped up in about 15 minutes. My boys and their buddies couldn’t get enough of these Chewy Oreo Bars we had as an after school snack this week. Sometimes my spontaneous recipe creations turn out to be the most fun, lol!
