DIY Blue Mason jars. Happy Wednesday, friends!

DIY Blue Mason jars

I know you’ve seen them everywhere…..blue mason jars! I think its the only way to make a delectable mason jar even more scrumptious! Ha! I love how pretty tinted vintage jars are, but they aren’t cheap. seriously. And the DIY’s that I’ve seen that turn regular jars into colored ones, are only a temporary fix. You probably remember this image from yesterday’s Flower Lid tutorial. All you need is a sponge brush and a transparent glass paint.

I added a flower frog lid to the top of this one so I could arrange fresh flowers in it. So that’s how to permanently tint a Mason Jar. Happy crafting, linda disclosure: i received free product from DecoArt to try. Easy Craft Project Diy Bud Vases. Manzanita branches Natural and SB manzanita starting at $3.63. Any suggestions?! Stones and Rocks Easy, natural, cheap. When combined with other natural elements, as shown here at Kate and Eli's wedding, rocks can make for a nice organic feel to a table.

Sticks and Branches Again: easy, natural, cheap. Wiffle balls + coffee filters = decor magic. My future-mother-in-law works for a coffee company and is constantly giving us giant boxes of coffee filters.

Wiffle balls + coffee filters = decor magic

So I'm putting them to good use by pairing them with wiffle balls and making coffee filter puffs as wedding decor. What you will need: Lots of coffee filters. Each puff requires about 50 individual filters. Wiffle softballs (or wiffle baseballs for smaller puffs). Step 1: (If you want white puffs, skip this.) Step 1(b): WAIT. Step 2: Tie a loop of ribbon through each wiffle ball, thusly: Step 3: If you're making multiple puffs, put on some Netflix or an audio book and settle in, because this is the boring part. You'll end up with a giant stack of twists, which will startle your betrothed and delight your pets. Step 4: Put a circle of hot glue around a wiffle-hole (that sounds way dirty, but don't giggle. Then secure it with a couple additional dabs of glue.

Repeat Step 4 until you have filled all the wiffle-holes. Boots, baubles, and runners: killer decor for your church wedding. We've done tons of posts about outdoor ceremony decor, window decor, even porta potty decor!

But what about offbeat decor options when you're getting married in a church, that may or may not place limitations on what you can do? Church brides want funky decor options, too, so we scoured the archives of Offbeat Bride, our Flickr pool, and hunted down some kick-ass options on Pinterest. From all this research, what I can tell you up front is that, if you don't feel like decorating the church yourself, you should definitely have a wedding around a religious holiday. Take LeeAnn's photo pictured above. She and her husband got married around Easter time and the church had all of that beautiful draped fabric already in place for Easter!

But if you aren't so lucky, here are some rad ideas for both indoor and outdoor church decor: Poofy paper balls, pomanders, and papercraft Jenn and Sarah's DIYed paper flowers (and bubbles!) Find some inspiration and some DIY floral arrangement tutorials in this here roundup, including tricks for using grocery store bouquets and thrifted finds, but still making a big impact.

Paper flowers in a pot look great, but accenting them with sparkly things takes them from pretty, to pretty AWESOME! A square vase, some vase gravel, and roses from the grocery store make this centrepiece easy to arrange and super striking. The vases themselves can be the conversation piece when they're interesting and mis-matched.

I'd team this banner with some pretty ribbons and silver tin cans hanging from the bumper. That was my plan but we had no room left in the zillions of boxes we needed to take to Lithuania. Download the template HERE. Print on off white card, ideally with a mottled effect. I used thick watercolour paper. Ideally the sign would be lower down nearer to the bumper, but due to the shape of our car we couldn't do that :( xo. TOLSBY Frame for 2 pictures.
